The hotel is beautiful. Communal areas are wonderful including relaxing library and the breakfast is served in the courtyard area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Service was excellent. Ground floor rooms are beautifully simple although on the small side. Beds are comfortable and the pillows are great. Location is in the quiet spot set back from the main road. Unfortunately during our stay there was a lot of construction going on in the Old Town but the hotel did their best to move us in the quieter room.

The place was clean, cozy, and the service was excellent. The hotel is located near many temples and night markets. The staff was always welcoming and friendly. Although the breakfast was served as a set menu rather than a buffet, the food was delicious and the portion size was decent. I loved the simplicity of the room, and the bed was very comfortable. The pillow was the best part of my stay! On Sunday night, the main road leading to the hotel will be blocked due to the Sunday night market from evening until 11 p.m. If you thinking of driving and using maps or Waze, it may be difficult to navigate to the hotel. I had to park quite far away from the hotel, but the staff were kind enough to assist me by using a motorbike to guide me to the hotel. Thank you so much for that!

Overall is an excellent experience living in Makka Hotel. Convenient location within walking distance in most of tourist attractions. Weekend night market just in front of the hotel Room is clean and quiet Excellent service and friendly staff who always will help you whenever you need it. I would recommend my friends and family to live here :-)

Booked via Agoda many months ahead. Strategically located on a small alley but almost in the centre of old city. Super convenient to walk to all corners within the four walls. Hotel has this zen and calm aura the minute you walk in. Lots of trees providing cool shades. Courteous and English speaking front desk. A breeze to check in. No shoes rule in the living building - you have to change into slippers they provided in the shoes cabinets. We went bare feet at times. Wooden floor has this squeaky feeling whenever you walk on it… the least favourite part of my stay. Rooms are designed simple and zen… white walls, dark wood furnished on everything - bed frame, mirror frame, tables, cabinets, etc. we love their breakfast - 6am to 12pm I think. So many options to choose from, my favourite is beef soup noodles - in fact I had it every morning for 5 days in a row! So good! There are rice selections, western breakfast too. Each breakfast set came with coffee/tea, juice (orange mainly), and cut fruits bowl. We spent quiet moment post breakfast just to hang around in the beautiful breakfast area every morning. No other amenities - no gym, no pool. It’s a small chic hotel ideal for couples to spend their time in Chiang Mai. Limited parking space at the front of hotel. Within 5 mins walking distance, many attractions and good eats. I recommend Kati for brunch, and Blue Noodle for late lunch. Highly recommended.
