I have no idea why there are so many poor reviews for this place. First of all, the pool, fireplace lounge, and balconies (huge) are Top Notch. David was so wonderful, he upgraded us for our anniversary, we stayed in building two with ocean balcony..their gym is great, you can rent cute cruisers, they gave us champagne and macaroons.. the whole vibes is fantastic. Everyone was friendly.. my only issue the food sucked and the bartender on Sunday night was kind of knob. He wasn’t very friendly, seemed super distracted and wouldn’t stop talking to his buddies at the bar to take our order. Highly recommend this place otherwise. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks David!

We chose this hotel for its location - almost beach front, with beautiful ocean view, and the downtown is within walking distance. The whole hotel (outside and inside) is full of old Spanish vibe, which is perfect for a vacation city like Santa Barbara! The rooms are tastefully decorated, and staff are friendly and helpful. We may come back again.

The hotel itself is relatively nice but feels a bit outdated. The main reason it is a nice place is the staff which are friendly and helpful from the people at the front desk to the valets. The room is nice and spacious with thin walls, bathroom is good sized but without a fan, the bed is comfortable and it has a fridge which is nice. The restaurant that is connected will do in a pinch. Overall the hotel was decent but the staff make it a good place.
