Recently had the opportunity to stay at this hotel, and overall, my experience was fine. It may not have been a luxurious getaway, but it certainly delivered on the basics, especially considering the price. Accommodation: The room was clean and comfortable, and it provided all the essentials you'd expect from a 3-star hotel. While it wasn't overly spacious, it was well-maintained and had everything I needed for a short stay. The bed was comfortable enough for a good night's sleep, and the amenities were sufficient. Breakfast: The breakfast offered at the hotel was satisfactory. It wasn't a lavish spread, but it did the job. There were a variety of options to choose from, including cereal, pastries, and a selection of hot dishes. Value for Money: One of the standout aspects of this hotel is the value for money it offers. Given its 3-star rating, the price I paid for my stay was incredibly reasonable. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option that doesn't compromise on basic comforts, this hotel is a good choice. Safety and Location: While the hotel itself was fine, the surrounding area left something to be desired. Unfortunately, the neighborhood has a reputation for drug-related activity on the streets, which can be unsettling. The availability of cheap taxi services in the city made it relatively easy to get back to the hotel safely at night.

My stay at Hotel Marina was unexpectedly good and beyond every expectation. Everything was spotlessly clean and well-organized, the staff was very kind and helpful, from reception to housekeeping and waiters. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices including fruits, pastries, pies, and various beverages. As for the area, on the one hand, it is in a very central location in the city, and I didn't need to use any means of transportation. On the other hand, it presents an image of a multicultural city with many nationalities, something that did not bother me at all. It is clear that the hotel is not responsible for the situation in the center of Athens, it seems to be doing everything possible on its own to improve the image of the immediate area. The Marina Hotel has become my "base" for all future visits to Athens. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone.

The hotel front is quite hidden in between shops and restaurants run by South Asians. The receptionist is helpful and professional. Rooms are ok, not big; just enough for beds and space to move around. I like the shower/ shampoo gel provided; smells like herbs and citrus. However, the breakfast provided has little variety especially for those who don't eat pork/ vegetarian. TV has only Greek channels but I guess not a big deal since i don't stay in the room much except sleeping
