An iconic hotel such as the Mayfair House Hotel & Garden deserves a fair & in-depth review for any of those looking to stay here. Let's start with the rooms and location probably the only two highlights of your stay here. The interior walkways of the hotel are stunning, as well as the cozy rooms that the hotel offers. Having stayed in the studio suite, I can say the decor was worth the price you are paying + as well as the comfort of the beds. Where the rooms come short are the most uncomfortable collection of pillows that they have. Given the caliber of the hotel, the comfort here fell short. My stay also was made unpleasant by constant construction sounds that started at 8am on a Wednesday morning when I was trying to catch up on sleep. Having stayed at other top notch hotels such as the Mandarin Oriental brand this part of my stay took my completely by surprise and made me highly unlikely to stay here again. The hotel service was equally as sub-par with room-service taking eons to arrive and charging over the top pricing with an automatic gratuity included, a restaurant that served great food but was super understaffed affecting the customer experience. After my stay I was hit with charges from the room's minibar - which neither I or my guest touched except for the included spring water. My suggestion here is to stay far away from any of the minibar items because once you call to try to dispute the charge, their customer service department falls completely short of providing any care for the customer or providing a resolution. Overall - if you are looking for something with a great location, the Mayfair falls pretty good in that sector, but other than that, I would by no means call this a 5 star hotel that falls short in every aspect of comfort and customer service.

Really enjoyed my stay. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was very helpful and I could text them from my phone and they responded back in a very timely manner and helped fulfill my requests. Also allowed a complimentary check out an 1 hour later. I found the elevator concept interesting because it allowed you to have your own space and privacy in the lift. The property was decorated beautifully!! Stayed with my 9 month old baby and it was a very comfortable experience. Would definitely come back.

The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. You feel like you’re in a lush garden. Quick service upon check-in and the staff was friendly. The room was renovated and designed beautifully, but the paint was peeling everywhere, we were missing hand soap, there wasn’t a fitted sheet on the bed so if you rolled too quickly you were laying on the mattress and the room had a bit of a musty smell. Also, if someone is loud in the atrium, it echoes through the rooms. Not sure if all rooms are like this, but it was pretty irritating early in the morning. Small things, but for a place categorized as a 5 star hotel you’d expect the basics to be done. Overall, enjoyed my stay but primarily due to the location.

First positive: -Breakfast has some very good options -Rooftop pool water is very warm! -Room was pretty and quiet Then negatives: -Prices were very expensive -Poor service for that price Some issues: -We booked a room with extra bed to our 3 years old child. There were no extra bed and they bring us baby crib without any pillow or blanket? The crib was also way too small for kid this age -We asked receptionist to order us a taxi to Miami zoo. We ended up paying $140+tip for drive. We came back with Uber that cost us a little over $20. -In minibar there was one opened Sprite filled with water -Small thing but still: they have a promise on their website about complimentary welcome drinks. I am still waiting for those… Overall I think that you can find better value in many other Hotels in Miami.

It’s new, with a young and bright design, in a great neighborhood. I’m a bit of a germaphobe and love that the rooms are concrete floors instead of carpet, which holds dust and bugs. Even the pillows are hypoallergenic. The staff is excellent. If you’re not familiar with Miami, it’s in Coconut Grove, a quiet waterfront neighborhood with tons of shops and more of an artistic vibe. Rooftop pool has excellent water views.
