Booked into "The Level" which had huge potential, though some difficulties in delivery. Overall a very nice stay. The good: 1) The Level lounge was fantastic & the receptionists were super helpful and friendly. Unlimited soft drinks, coffee, wine, beer, and snacks was very nice. 2) Breakfast was overall great. A bean to cup coffee machine instead of pods would be less wasteful and better coffee. Buffet style with option to order freshly prepared items was perfect. Timing is good too. 3) Pool area was spacious, clean, and perfect for relaxing. Music volume and choice nice. There were sofa pods right by the pool "reserved" the whole time...but didn't once see anyone in them and no explanation in the app. Found this a bit strange. Also strange there are no perks for "The Level" guests in this area. Prices are very reasonable but still feels strange paying for a beer/juice when free options exist an elevator ride away in the lobby. 4) The room we finally ended up in was nice, clean, spacious, and comfortable for a night's sleep. 5) The app is fantastic. Being able to order amenities, room service, check times, request room clean etc so easily was great. The bad: 1) Book through the Melia app! Not only do you get 5% app discount, but contrary to the website's "best price guarantee", I found the rates in the app were consistently lower...and the online support took about 20 emails back and forth to make simple changes to the booking. Unnecessarily difficult start to the trip. 2) Booking into room. We requested a sea view if possible, which was confirmed by the receptionist. However, when the room key arrived we were given city view and told the sea view room was now taken. Not a huge issue for me, but might be for some. The initial room we were given also had a strong mould / damp smell clearly covered up by perfume...this scent was also present in the hallway and I overheard other guests complaining about this. Unacceptable from this tier of hotel. Requested a change immediately. Overall a very pleasant stay despite a shaky start. Would revisit and hopefully some of the issues outlined have been addressed.

Me and my wife stayed at this hotel for four nights. The hotel was super clean, and breakfast was surprisingly good. All staff were kind. Specially, we appreciate Claudia who helped us check-in and introduced nice restaurants. We won't forget her smile and kindness.
