I use this hotel a few times a year and it's location is not too far from central Dublin, but could be closer. The staff on the reception desk are friendly and helpful and seem happy to be there. The rooms are always clean and tidy and the beds fresh and snug. Breakfast is of the buffet type and some of the hot dishes are not quite hot but there is plenty else to choose from. There is a bar there which is never busy in the evening and good for a relaxing wind down at the end of the day.

Stayed at The Mespil Hotel for the bank holiday weekend and despite the hotel being very busy, our stay could not have been better. Staff so welcoming, helpful and friendly. Rooms and beds so comfortable with top quality products in bathroom; and all the extras make such a difference - eg. tea/coffee making, chocolates, water, coffee machine, mini fridge, iron and ironing board, etc. Couldn't have asked for more. We had a lovely room overlooking the canal - it was a little noisy and I will take earplugs with me next time - but I'm a good sleeper so it really didn't bother me - only mentioning as a tip to any light sleepers! The breakfast buffet is outstanding - I can't think of anything it didn't have!! I'd give 6 stars if I could!

Couldn't have stayed in a better hotel. We had late check in as we were on a golf trip, the staff were beyond friendly and the food was top class and we were able to avail of free parking on site. Having stayed in quite a lot of hotels in Dublin I will be using the Mespil for future trips both for work and personal. A homely atmosphere in a city centre hotel very hard to find but these guys have it down to a tee. 5 stars all day.
