Great location, wonderful service by all staff, but a very strange layout on our floor. We've been here before, and it's a great location to walk to restaurants or just a quick drive to other locations. The valet parking has in and out privileges, so you are only charged once per day. They have fresh water, hot chocolate at night, and a really cool soda spring machine tucked away in the lobby. The machine dispensers filtered water, speaking water, and even flavored water! So much fun! Our room took us some time to find. The floor felt like a maze once we took a few turns past the elevators, and we were questioning our ability to read signs. We made a couple more turns and found our room, but it was curious. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner options that are delicious. Morning buffet has fresh omelettes and waffles, eggs, meats, potatoes, breads, danishes, oatmeal, fresh fruit and tortillas. All staff were wonderful and accommodating.

Great location for a business trip in the Monterey area. Walkable to many bars and restaurants, plus a Walgreens and grocery store. Valet only parking was $40 a day when I stayed there, but a nearby parking garage was only $24 a day (or free, if you were only parked overnight and gone during the day).

If you have an allergy to mold or mildew, do not stay on the 5th floor. We stayed two nights, and would have stayed longer (we have stayed here at least 6x) but for my reaction. I thought I had a cold brewing, until we got home, and I was fine again. The room was fine, it was the overwhelming smell in the hallway, that got to me, my asthma, and allergies. We will return, but won't stay on that side, unless the carpets get replaced, and leaks are corrected
