Excellent spacious room with Princess Street views from the balcony. Very large bathroom with bath tub and large walk in shower. Cleanliness wasn't good for any price tag for any room, we had to get the coffee machine taken away to get cleaned. The shelves where the coffee machine, kettle and tray were coated with a film of dust, so not sure when last cleaned.

Stayed here for 1 night during the Christmas markets. Room was great! Perfect view over the big wheel and markets. The staff were so efficient and professional. Breakfast was absolutely delicious! The shampoo and conditioner supplied by the hotel was sooooo good that I've bought some for the use at home. Fantastic stay! We WILL be back next year 👌

We were lucky to be upgraded to a “prestige room” with excellent views of Princess St, the castle and monument etc- room was spacious and had a huge comfortable bed. Excellent service and had a good hotel style self service breakfast. Very noisy street but quiet enough when one closes the windows and a fan was provided so it was cool enough. We would gladly return as the location is perfectly central to absolutely everything. The city is so cool what a vibe!

Fabulous location with extraordinary views over the city. A HUGE shout out to ALL staff at this special hotel who go out of their way to welcome you, support you during your time at the hotel and are fonts of useful knowledge. We will definitely return and look very forward to the finished refurbishments and renovations. Highly recommend this hotel right in the heart of Edinburgh.

Only positive things if this hotel is the location. The structure is very old and the service (bathroom, tv, etc) are more hostel then hotel. You see the pictures on the website and you think you at least gonna have a wonderful view, and you don’t, majority of the staff were nice, but one lady (tall,brunette) was overall rude, she asked me to wait for her to come and take my details, but my friend asked me something , and when I watch the lady again she was rolling her eyes up, so basically, she had priority , a good training about customer service need to be completed, to this lady, may the receptionist (I believe a Spanish lady) can do it in her spare time, as her customer service was excellent. On the first day we found a bag in the bath, that get us paranoid about bedbug and we had to check all corners, thanks god nothing been found. Breakfast under standards.
