Pros: - decent location -coin laundry mat in the hotel (3F towards the back right hand side) - all you can grab amenities from the lobby (I took a few things on my way up to my room) - a mirror on the desk along with a tissue box (great for my facial routine and makeup) - PJs in a drawer - great plumbing (the hot water really heats up fast) - a window which works - a gift shop in the lobby - plenty of coat hangers and areas to store clothes during the trip - the cleaning ladies were so silent I didn’t even hear them from the next room - vending machines on every floor for guests staying there - free wifi Cons: - only 3 machines for laundry so you’re going to be waiting a while to get to one (1 washer, 1 dryer which won’t dry 100% but that’s fine since there’s a clothes line in the bathroom, and 1 washer-dryer combo machine. It takes about an hour to wash and dry your clothes and only takes ¥100 coins but you’ll need like 4-6 of them) - the amenities are downstairs so if you’re feeling lazy you might not go down there - No moisturiser as part of the amenities which you WILL need during winter - there’s a bit of mould in the bathroom - which I assume is because there’s no vent in the bathroom so every time I take a shower it feels like I stepped into a steam room immediately afterwards -toilet seats in the rooms aren’t heated - room service is every 2nd day if you’re staying a while I stayed in a room by myself which was cozy but I think if I was sharing with another person it might get cramped. I didn’t get much of a view with my room but I was just happy that the window worked so I could get that great winter air. The mini fridge could have been a little colder but it wasn’t too bad. The cleaning ladies will reset the room to the welcoming standard including new slippers and PJs (more like a nightingale gown) in the closet and won’t touch anything else but the bins, curtains and bathroom stuff including shower curtain, towels, and resetting the toilet. Since the location was great I’ll probably stay here again, even with the mould growing on the tiles of the bathroom because the bath mat and slippers solve that problem easily. Easily a 3.5 hotel but I’m putting it up to 4 because t nobody complained how loud my friends were being.

Hotel is old. Rooms are small and the mattresses are terrible. You can actually feels the springs of the mattress. They dont have daily housekeeping services (only certain days). Other than the location of the hotel, the others are horrible.

Right between Sapporo station and Odori park. A few convenience stores nearby. Can feel the age of the facility. Family room was big and comfortable for us.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with the customer service at the hotel. Upon my arrival at 2:45 pm, I approached the reception only to find that Mr. Iwastashi, the receptionist on duty, couldn't speak English and insisted I communicate in Japanese. Despite my attempts to check in, he kept repeating "tamei," which I assumed meant "cannot" in Japanese. It was only later, thanks to another customer, that I learned check-in time was at 3 pm when Mr. Iwastashi's shift ended. After patiently waiting until after 3 pm, I realized that a large group of students had also arrived and were checking in. I had to endure further delays as I watched them collect their room keys and enter their rooms. It wasn't until almost 6 pm that I finally received my turn to check in, which left me exhausted and frustrated. To add to the inconvenience, once I entered my room, I discovered that the air conditioning wasn't working. I immediately reported the issue to the front desk, hoping for a swift resolution. Unfortunately, my complaint went unanswered, and I had a sleepless night in a room without proper cooling. It wasn't until the following day, after I expressed my dissatisfaction once again at the front desk, that they finally took action to address the air conditioning problem. They sent someone to my room and managed to fix the issue, providing me with a comfortable environment for the remainder of my stay. However, I couldn't help but feel disappointed that it took until the second day and multiple complaints for them to take the matter seriously. Overall, my experience with the hotel's customer service was incredibly frustrating, marked by language barriers, lengthy wait times, and a lack of timely response to maintenance issues. It certainly left a negative impression and impacted the quality of my stay.
