I stayed for 4 nights in october. The air conditioner is centralized so you can't adjust the temp. 3 nights it was so freezing but on the last night it became so hot during the night that i had to take off my arm covers. Other than that it is quite ok for the price and the location. The maid only cleans the room, bathroom and make beds but doesn't change bed sheets for the whole stay (she did change towels every day though). There's a plastic patio down there that noisy when raining so you might take into consideration if you're a light sleeper and going to stay there in rainy season.

Better choose rooms on the lower level, maybe under level 7 is better. There is an engineering space on the 9th floor making a kind of vibrating sound. The sound becomes loud in the middle of night. I had to change my room instead.

My companions and I wanted a hotel room with 3 individual beds that's located in Ximending. At the time of our booking, this was the only available hotel that offered a room with 3 beds at a low cost. It's in a quiet location and has a lot of great restaurants, convenience stores and even a 24hr grocery (Carrefour) just a stone's throw away. It's not a new hotel. Before entering, you will notice that there is no ramp for your luggage. You have to haul it up a flight of stairs (maybe 9 steps). The place needs renovating, but it's clean and good enough to stay. If you're a tourist and will be out exploring the whole day, you just need a place to keep your luggage, take a bath or shower and rest. AC is centralized. Hot water is available but there's no bidet. Getting food is not a problem. There are a lot of great restaurants around the area, though they usually close around 7:30pm. Not to worry, there's a Family Mart, 7-11 and Carrefour nearby. There's also a coin laundry just across the street. The receptionists are friendly, helpful and speaks English.
