We stayed at the Novotel for 9 nights. My family and I had a wonderful time. We loved it all from the accommodation, food, accessibility, location, views, kids activities, pool, tennis court and the list goes on. The Novotel was great value for money. The buffet breakfast was outstanding. Huge choice of different foods. Novotel is in the best location. Walking distance to everything including the beach. Staff were so friendly, we would like to make a special mention to Sheridan at Check in. Sheridan was so friendly and welcoming. She accommodated for all our needs. We ended getting an upgrade to an ocean view room and that was absolutely amazing. Another staff member we would like to mention is Charlie who we met at the buffet breakfast. Charlie was so friendly, hospitable and provided excellent customer service. To the breakfast chefs a big thank you for being so hospitable to us, especially those on the omelette station, We really appreciated you being so accommodating with our meals. All the staff are fantastic, great team and a great place, we will be back again.

After reading the reviews I was really getting worried about this place but as soon as we walked in the door we were pleasantly surprised. The room is well appointed and spacious and very clean. The staff were great and it’s in a great position. The only feedback I would give is if they could put soft closers on the door to the rooms. Next door must have had two rooms that weren’t interconnected and were constantly going between the two rooms and the door kept slamming shut. Other than that it was a perfect stay. Thank you!

6 night stay. 2 bedroom family room. The room was nice and spacious with a view of the beach. We had issues with cleaning up of the room and service. We called reception every day for our room to be cleaned, although they stated it is a daily service, our room was cleaned once during our whole stay, Which was a quick vacuum and new towels. We called for fresh towels most days that were delivered 2 hours later, most days. Breakfast was good, very busy hotel, and the pool is over- run by mid- day. Lifts and reception always very busy and hotel seems short staffed.

We stayed here earlier in the year and had a fantastic experience. The room was good, the buffet breakfast outstanding, the bar downstairs makes beautiful meals and the staff were friendly and accommodating at every opportunity. The only thing I found to be lacking was the quality of the room service food which we ordered late one evening shortly before the kitchen closed. We will most likely stay here again next time we visit the Gold Coast.

3night stay. The priority check in was the only good thing as I managed to beat the long queue otherwise. Check in looked poorly serviced overall otherwise. The family room was odd with no doors separating the rooms. The whole rooms and hotel looks very tired and needs an extensive update. Looks like a cheap wall paint and vinyl floors were done only. The bathroom was small and old, with no exhaust fans so steamy post shower. There’s an open vanity section to the kids sleeping area so not able to use this section overnight in the dark discreetly when needed. The hotel corridor noise filters into the room too easily due to poor door seals and room insulation, so makes it difficult to fall asleep and easy to wake overnight. The hotel pool area has many broken tiles, the pool itself is way too small for the size of the hotel and all looks old and dated. Poor room servicing as I needed to call daily to have rooms serviced and it would only be down just before 5pm!! And full rubbished bins were not emptied… I’m appalled it’s even rated 4star…. A lucky 2.5 star if that…
