Spacious and clean apartment rooms each with showers. Excellent kitchen. Balcony with big washer and dryer. Ambience is good. Great view of the surrounding area and nice little expatriate community living here. Love the pool view. Location is the most negative point as taxis are required to travel to more central locations. Service is the biggest plus point and daily breakfast is excellent.

I see that the hotel has publicly responded to my initial one-star review, citing "security and privacy" concerns for their restriction on filming in public areas. I find this contradictory, as my specific activities and intentions during my stay were disclosed publicly by the hotel, raising questions about their commitment to privacy. I'd also like to clarify an inconsistency. The issue of equipment size was raised in the hotel's public comment, yet at no point during my stay was this mentioned by any staff members. For the record, my equipment is compact and fits into a small bag, minimizing any potential inconvenience to other guests. The main reason for my dissatisfaction, however, is the inconsistent communication I received from the staff. Upon my arrival, I inquired about filming in public areas and received explicit permission from multiple members of the team. Based on these assurances, I extended my stay by three days specifically for this purpose. Unfortunately, this permission was later revoked without prior notice, causing unnecessary stress and wasted time. I hope future guests find this information helpful, and that the hotel takes these points into consideration for improving their services and policies.

The room was nice with a simple but good decoration. You can find all kitchen gadgets in a fairly good condition in the room. I would recommend you to ask for a higher for as it has a nice view with a small balcony. Didn't feel unsafe in the area walking around either. It is just a bit outside of old town city madness. But then again I think it might be a better aspect for some like me. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I would stay here again.

My family and I have had the most pleasant long-term stay at Oakwood Residence Hanoi. The first night we arrived (very late at night), Mr Hai so kindly arranged a crib for our baby. This was our first sign that this place would go above and beyond for us. Everyone from security, to the front desk staff, to housekeeping (thanks Tham!) and the kitchen staff, have been so incredibly impressive, professional and kind. They have truly become like family to us (especially our children), and have been instrumental in making our first year in Hanoi so comfortable and special. I think everyone would agree that the service and amenities at Oakwood are exceptional in every single way. The front desk staff can help you with anything and everything and are always so eager to provide assistance. The lobby and cafe area are so relaxing and perfect to get some work done or just hang out, the indoor rooftop pool is clearly the best year-round and the food is amazing (thank you Chef Thanh and team!). Lastly, as a family, we really appreciated and loved the many special events/holidays that the team hosts for residents and guests - truly amazing. Thank you Oakwood for providing us with the most memorable stay - we will be back! ❤️
