We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Olala and completely felt at home there! The accommodation is BEAUTIFUL and clean. All the staff were incredibly helpful and kind (they always have a smile of their face!). Gede, our host, was always reachable and was willing to help us with anything related to our stay there. They also have a water refill station for 5-8k per refill, laundry service, and a lovely pool, which was very convenient for us! I will say that unless you have good bike driving skills, this place can be a challenge to get to. It will cost you a bit if you have to pay for each trip coming up and down the rocky mountain. However, for us it was worth it, making this accommodation a hidden gem of Nusa Penida! (P.s. they have the most adorable puppies there!!!).

terrible road. Even a bike can crash. the villas are dirty, complete lack of soundproofing. at 6 am the church screams. pool is dirty. sun loungers broken, old. Wi-Fi catches badly and works intermittently. Worst experience in half a year in Bali. You can barely see the sea. backwoods in the village, around pigs, chickens, cows

The room is good. Territory is very clean and tidy. The road towards hotel is a bit bumpy, but only 200m. Location is good because you can get here right from the harbour by foot. Staff is very friendly and helps with everything like scooter, breakfast and so on.

Bad location (bad road so you have to pay extra 100 thousands to go down or come up each time) 1. WIFI in the room was not working at all. Also there was no cell reception in the room. 2. No facilities as such (not even 2 complimentary water bottles per day, had to ask to electric kettle, no toothbrushes, etc) 3. Dim lights and depressing room with some bulbs not even working (they didn't even replace them). And the power plugs were not working too. 4. You can't go out to eat at any other location, only option is their restaurant. Their restaurant food is also a hit or miss. One time the garlic bread was very stale and ultra chewy from inside. The portion size for noodles was pathetic for the price. 5. We are vegetarians and asked them to not put any egg or meat in our dish. But guess what they did put egg on top of our meal. 6. Moreover, they charged 3% extra (on a debit card) on everything (food and travel package), first hotel on my trip to do that. But okay. 7. There are insects inside the room. We asked them not to clean our room when we go out. But they did. 8. The pool was also very dirty when I swam in it. 9. The room doesn't have any intercom to talk to the reception. You have to go to the reception each time. 10. The male manager couldn't care less about things. 11. Now their driver services (it kind of becomes compulsory to get a driver from the hotel because of the bad location, you can't take scooters or hire someone else (they have a driver on commission basis I guess). 12. The driver took his friend with us for the entire day (first time I saw such unprofessionalism). For 1.2 KM charged us 100K (harbour to hotel), hardly 6-8 minutes. And apparently the driver was busy driving owner of the hotel around, and reached to us 45-50 minutes late. Only good things 1. The dog (very friendly and calm). 2. Some staff members, not all. The cooking lady and cleaning guy were nice.
