Omni Houston Hotel

Upon check in , this front desk guy with glasses that works in the morning assisted me. His colleague next to him which was a woman just finished checking in a couple and explaining to them about their Amex benefits. I knew what they were because of someone I knew used their card. But the guy checking me in did not tell me anything about the benefits, AT ALL. Honestly I felt they judged because of how I was dressed. So, he took my card and my ID. I had to ask about the room upgrade and I asked about the parking situation and to park somewhere else because since it’s so SECLUDED, you are forced to pay for the expensive parking garage. After he checked me in, I went to grab my stuff from the car and I realized he didn’t tell me anything about a credit I have. Once I said, all he did was hand me the paper. Mind you his COLLEAGUE next to him told that couple everything of their benefits and I wasn’t told anything. Housekeeping are annoyed if you ask for anything being sent to the room and tbh the hotel staff caters to a lot of older older people. It’s outdated and the room was kinda falling apart. Rips in the lampshades and it had a weird smell. ALSO!!! WI-FI is NOT FREE. Later, I needed new cards since I left it in the room and a lady with red hair at night had an attitude like she didn’t want to help. After checking out, I had to call because they never told me that parking was going to be charged using the credit…. Seemed I was rushed off the phone by a lady and hung up quickly. Which all this could’ve been explained in the beginning if the front desk guy just did his job!!! I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone and to avoid since it seems like they will stereotype you and judge you based on how you look.

During my recent stay at your hotel, I encountered a series of disappointments that had a severe impact on my overall experience. I initially booked my room with a late check-out scheduled for 4 PM and had an important online meeting planned for the day of my departure. Despite these preparations, and even after hanging a "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door, I was interrupted on two separate occasions. The first incident occurred at 1:39 PM when a housekeeper knocked on my door and questioned my check-out time. Upon informing her of my late check-out arrangements, she displayed visible disapproval and departed without offering an apology. The second interruption was even more disconcerting. At 2:00 PM, another woman knocked on my door, insisting that I needed to check out. When I reiterated that I had scheduled a late check-out, she instructed me to call the front desk. When I questioned why she was disturbing me despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door, she left without issuing any apology. The behavior exhibited by both women was not merely unprofessional but also incredibly rude and audacious. These interruptions, particularly during an important online meeting, contributed to an extremely unpleasant experience that no guest should have to endure. As a result, I have decided never to book a stay at your establishment again and cannot recommend this hotel to others.
