For most of my life, I've lived close enough to this hotel that I didn't really have much of a reason to stay here. Yet, I've ended up here multiple times for one reason or another at various major events and moments in my life. The rooms are comfortable. The hotel itself is older, but well put together with comfortable common spaces. The pool isn't bad either. It's near the zoo in a not so busy part of town.

I booked family stay at this hotel, mostly because of its location (close to the restaurants, CVS, and locations we planed to visit). I interacted with several reception desk people and they were all super nice and helpful (I was really worried after I found negative reviews a day before our trip). The room was spacious and clean. We had breakfasts in the hotel and the food and service were all great. The strong smell some reviews were mentioning, were indeed present in the lobby and hallways but not in the room. Personally I don't like space refreshers and they may go hand in hand with older style of the hotel but the room had no smell at all. Overall a great experience and would warmly recommend it for others traveling to DC.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, and the service was outstanding from the moment I checked in to when I checked out. The inclusion of valet service with the parking fee was a convenient perk. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the overall ambiance was wonderfully quiet. I enjoyed the amenities, especially the lovely pool and jacuzzi. Additionally, the on-site restaurant was top-notch. I couldn't have asked for a better experience during my stay at this hotel. Highly recommended!

I appreciate the positive aspects of the Omni Shoreham Hotel, such as its beautiful ambiance. Absolutely stunning lobby and may be the best in the nation. The cleanliness is commendable too. However, the daily $55 parking fee, flat and uncomfortable pillows, and the $15 per day WiFi charge are notable drawbacks. In 2024, complimentary WiFi is increasingly expected. The outdated furniture, shower, and issues with molding, cracks, and insulation suggest a need for improvements. The hotel's location requiring a car to go to any attraction and the absence of a vending machine for cold drinks outside the bar are additional considerations. For the price you pay, is a WiFi really too much to offer. I would come here for the beauty of the lobby but would not stay here again.

Stayed here for business. This is a beautiful old property, but it really is in need of an update. My bathroom had peeling wallpaper, a pedestal sink, and no place to lay out toiletries. There was a "cooler" not an actual refrigerator in the room. The one elevator on the West side is spooky and in need of repair (door opens 1/4 way, then starts to close, and does that a few times before it closes altogether and no one can get in) so there is really only one functional elevator on that side. The staff were polite, but were not friendly. If you are looking to be greeted with a big smile, it's not happening. The banquet food was decent, but the meeting rooms are kept way too cold (they had the a/c running in October). It is conveniently located to the red metro line which is nice.
