OYO Wave Crest Hotel

Absolutely lovely place to stay,the room was spotless and had everything you needed, WiFi, TV ensuit bathroom, appliances to make tea and coffee. The lady who runs the place is really friendly, and the full breakfast we had was one of the best me and my partner have ever had, would recommend this place to anyone. 10 out of 10 xxx

Put it this way if I could leave 0 stars I would. First things first, upon arriving you'll look at the place and hum to yourself thinking...who can I blame for booking this. Front window is full of rubbish and decor isn't great. You will enter to a strange smell and look round, yet again thinking....ok wheres the breakfast tables, what's the smell and is this a hotel? For the tables for breakfast, all I can describe is 2 tables and chairs by a pool table that's broke and a kids gaming machine that's filthy. Anyway we decided to have 2 double vodka and cokes at a price of £16.80. Well all I can say is, I won't be using there bar on the night. No food available but breakfast on request if you wanted it, but after first impressions I doubt I'll be eating here. You will pay an extra £10 for your carparking which is cash so no doubt that goes straight in there pocket, and I can only say just don't park at the back as you will never get out and your car will get damaged. trust me. Plus seen other customers moving other people's cars around. Right now onto the room, the toilet didn't work(flush) and it needs bathroom if you can call it a bathroom needs repainting as its been left. No hot water in shower and it only dribbles. Stains all on mirrors on wardrobe. No TV remote but that didn't matter as the ariel didn't work anyway. But room next to us had netflix and TV. The superior room which we had paid for looks like the cheapest of hostel rooms worth £20. The double bed was actually 2 singles pushed together aswell. Not happy and owners haven't a clue. When we arrived home I also realised I had left my trainers so contacted them straight away to request them to be posted to which they refused and we were fobbed off by saying ring back on different days to see if his friend could drop them off but from that point on we never got an answer. Luckily a friend was in the area and picked them up but she also said the owner was rude and left them standing in the rain for 15 mins while he fetched them. Place is that dirty I have had to wash my brand new trainers when I got them back. Been to Blackpool well over 100 times and this is by far the worst I've stopped in. Stay at your peril. Maybe ok for you if you have no standards. Now just to add, these last few comments are a reply to owners comments, yes the pool table was broken and thats why I didn't play on it, we DID report how bad your room was and bathroom but you came up with a rubbish story, yes the room and mirrors were very dirty and the whole building stank. When I left my trainers and I rang the hotel for them I DID offer postage of ANY amount to get them back as they were brand new brought by my daughter, but I was told " I haven't got time to post these". I also did have to wash my trainers when I got them back as it looked like they had been worn and they smelt, Like I said I've been to Blackpool well over 100 times and this is by far the worst hotel there, believe me Fawty towers is better. Oh and before you book, please bear in mind the other new comments, and we r not joking. Believe me I'm born and bred in blakenall in walsall, and this place goes beyond that!!!!. Keep ya kids and yourself safe and enjoy blackpool but not here, trust me!!!
