The location and staff is very nice. Room was ok, but a bit dark.

Quiet and peaceful environment next to the historical area. Room service is good, and breakfast is excellent. We could also use a swimming pool from the other hotel that they have across the street. The receptionist (sorry I forgot the name) is very kind and helpful. Highly recommended for the location and amenities.

Nice, well located budget hotel. Room is clean and spacious with many places to hang clothes. Aircon and hot water work well. Nice garden and hospitable staff. It has the same owners as He Tai guesthouse nearby and the staff said we can use the swimming pool there. One minus point is I’m staying on ground floor and can hear the guests above me if they are not mindful of their walking.

I am writing this review to show that this guest house is open. Due to covid, many places are either open or not, which is its own stressor. I came back to the Pao because of how helpful Ling and her coworker are. Welcoming and help maintain a beautiful property. Location- It is tucked away from any major roads, as to have that nice peaceful night. Yet, close enough to the old city to walk and enjoy your nights.
