Nice hotel, a little bit outside of the main streets but still close enough to walk. The inside was really nice, rooms were clean and large. There are hammocks to hangout at. The pool is nice too but the restaurant/seating area faces out to you. The breakfast is always nice and really enjoyed staying at this hotel.

The pictures were much luxurious than reality, I do still like my stay in ISTY. As long as you don’t get the room 206! When we checked in at 11:00pm, the room 206 was flooded due to the fridge🤦🏻‍♀️ Whole room smelled like a sewer. We were like ninja turtles living underground, couldn’t sleep entire night. The staff claimed there were no available rooms for us to change. We need to come down to ask again tomorrow. (Yes, no phone in the room, you need to physically come down to reception for asking anything) Fortunately we were able to change to 205 the next day, it turned the experience to a good one. The room still smelled not so fresh, especially the bathroom, but compared to 206! Like night and day! In ISTY, you get free water, breakfast every day, clean swimming pool, and great location closes to fun attractions. The staff were a bit passive, however if you request constantly, they would try to help you. 🙇🏻‍♀️

To all the tourists interested in staying here and seeking reviews, I'd like to share my experience. The rooms were not clean, some staff members were unfriendly, parking space was very limited, and we won’t be returning to stay at this hotel. Thank you.

Stayed here in November 2023. Isty is a little quiet hotel next in a busy neighbourhood outside of Chiang Mai's Old City. It has plenty nearby, though mostly for locals, not tourists. Isty has a rooftop bar, which has a nice view of the surroundings. They were throwing free drinks at one night! Unfortunately, the room we were assigned was right next to the buffet door, which was a bit noisy in the morning. It also had a strong mould smell. Luckily, the staff was very helpful and sprayed something so that the room had a more pleasant smell over night, and also let us change rooms the next day, which didn't have either issue.

Nothing to WOW about this hotel, it's more like the better version of B&B. Location wise it's tucked next to POR hotel and next to buddhism cremation center. Happen I experiencing such cremation ceremony at late noon from my tiny hotel room balcony after checking in. You can see the strong disposes of smoke and ashes even my balcony chair is full of ashes dust....gosh!!!!! 🤧The process of ashes to ashes, dust to dust on your holiday????!!!! Seem something beyond your imagination! Furthermore the hotel is considered dated. Many areas need immediate upgrading such as shower room water leakage, no telephone, hair dryer and safe box in my room, balcony glass door cannot securely locked, pool are always full of tree leaves, the central kitchen look messy, the plates provided for guests are not clean enough and the roof top bar is miserable and dirty🙏🙏🙏
