Paradisus Cancún – All Inclusive

Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable, featuring fantastic sea-facing rooms and a pristine blue-water beach. Being vegetarians, we found the food options somewhat limited, but the staff made sincere efforts to assist us. A standout among the servers was Alberto from the Blue Agave restaurant. However, the only hiccup in an otherwise 5-star experience was Angel, a male front desk person at the Lemon Fish restaurant. He consistently exhibited rudeness throughout our stay for no apparent reason, indicating a need for additional training. Despite this, we plan to return to this resort in the future and hope for an improved variety of vegetarian food options.

I stayed here with a newborn and a toddler and I would recommend this resort to my friends. One thing I noticed is some rooms are dated because our room was 10/10 (we paid for an ocean view upgrade) but my parents room seemed a little older and darker (no upgrade). The AC worked great and was refreshing after a humid, sunny pool or ocean hangouts. They asked if we wanted a crib but the infant slept in a portable bassinet next to me and the toddler slept in the other double bed with Dad. I recommend you pack a sound machine so the kids don't hear each other and to drown out the outdoor party music if you're doing bedtime at 7pm. Luckily some of the fun concerts we could sit on our balcony and listen while the kids slept. My toddler loved playing in the sand near the ocean and we brought sand toys with us. The ocean water is fun but rough with it tossing me over a few times so I would not recommend kids going in but the resort has a nice shallow pool for kids to play with. The kids pool does not have any slides or toys so we brought our own and other kids were happy to share theirs too. The indoor kids room had fun activities all day long both indoors and outdoors. I wish my toddler participated in more but the sand castles called to him daily. The food was all delicious and I would love going to the buffet for every meal. We checked out all the restaurants for dinner which are first come first serve and did not have as strict of a dress code as I was made to believe beforehand. The restaurants had great food but Cielo, a Mexican restaurant, was uncomfortably hot inside so I was not able to enjoy my food. The Mexican restaurant Agave has delicious tacos so we went back to eat there a few times. All restaurants made room for our stroller and they brought out appetizers quickly to keep the toddler entertained. The shuttle from the airport was less than 30 minutes and arriving at the resort is breathtaking with the beautiful interior full of greenery. Every year we have been going to a new resort in Mexico looking for something better and this might be the first one we visit again. It is on the expensive side for us and I wish it had a children's water slide in the pool but it's still a fun vacation so we'll save up to try and go next year too!
