Pastels Rooms

WARNING: Too pricy for what it's worth, it is a very old popular flat with old windows and rusted frames. In the room there were stains on the wall above the pillow (don't even think about their origin), cigarette ash and pistache shells on the floor. One small bathroom for 6 people and limited heated water. Hair dryer is so cheap that it spits plastic-flavoured air. Cleaned bedsheets from previous guest were hung in the corridor taking away half of its space. The street downstair was smelling like dog escrements, area seems safe but not so charming. Very disappointing communication with houseowner. He is asking to leave turist tax money by cash on the table at check-out, so during the stay I contacted booking.com to know if this was ok. He called me back very nervous and with a threatening tone because I dared to ask a paper receipt at check-out, stating to me that this wasn't possible and promising that he would have sent it by email. I decided to give him a chance to see if this was true, left the money and solicited twice via Booking for having the receipt. After some days he sent us an email with a filled-in file which didn't even had a signature or a stamp, and there wasn't any P.IVA number. (VAT ID). The file itself was named "modello_fattura_Copia" as it was downloaded from the internet for the first time. He is practically considering the turist tax as a tip for himself and booking.com told me hosts have to give the receipt of the full accomodation price too. A couple of friends of us were also staying there on the same days (indeed we chose this accomodation just because they had already booked here), and they also left some fair negative remarks on their review: he contacted them privately asking why they gave such a feedback, and then left a comment under their review stating that they were "rude" persons who took "revenge" for their accomodation. AVOID!!

Stayed almost One month here. Safer Place, nice apartment with fully furnished kitchen. Owner is so helpful and cooperative.
