A basic, clean and homely guest house centrally located. The reception dude was sweet. I'd stay here again for sure - no complaints.

*Review changed after feedback from owner* Price - performance is not in proportion The location of the guesthouse is very good, about 10 minutes on foot from Cologne Deutz and almost directly on the banks of the Rhine. The rooms are simply furnished, the bathroom is very small, but everything you need was available in both. One of the single rooms had a kind of couch bed (or box spring single bed), the other was a "normal" single bed made of wood. The quality of the mattresses left a lot to be desired for both (which is my subjective opinion, as is always the case with a review). The Freifunk WiFi didn't always work for me; there were information sheets in the room that said that you could have booked a hotspot for a fee. The rooms are clean, but in the shower you can see the black mold residue in the corners. The hot water didn't always work on the 3 days of my visit or it took a long time to get warm. For light sleepers, it becomes difficult to have a quiet night because you can hear the background noises from neighboring rooms more than clearly (which is also due to the room doors, which can be closed completely, but there is still a gap in the door frame) and, the rooms face the street, of course also the traffic. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The guesthouse itself is fine for a short stay, but not for over 100€/night (despite the increased price a trade fair on the weekend in question). I personally expect more comfort and cleanliness.
