Had a lovely stay here. Reception and housekeeping were friendly and reliable. The lobby and room environment is special but comfortable for all kinds of travelers. Our accommodations were perfect - spacious (two wardrobes and multiple seating areas were useful), warm, and well-appointed. There was a street noise for our particular room on the first floor, and the shower is indeed small, but everything else about the property made up for those inconveniences. I was able to walk, Uber, and tram all over Milan from this location. I also felt very safe during my stay. Through conversations with my friends who have stayed in Milan, I believe this is a lovely experience at excellent value.

I rarely write reviews despite the fact that we travel a great deal all over the world. This time I felt a review was warranted. This is a boutique hotel, 19 rooms, in Milan. The hotel is not right in the heart of all the action, but close enough that it is a 10 minute walk. This is what keeps the price under $300. Our room, 311, was fantastic. A nice size bedroom for Europe with an extra area with a kitchenette, refrigerator and two chairs. This made for a very roomy hotel room. The bed was a queen but firm with a great blanket. The bathroom is smallish, but the water pressure was excellent. The only criticism I have is that the shower is small. What makes this hotel so spectacular is the employees/managers. They called us by name, were as friendly and accommodating as could possibly be, and brought an incredible breakfast to our room every morning whatever time worked for us. They called us cabs, gave us advice, and made us feel at home. The best personal attention we have ever had at a hotel anywhere. I would list all their names but can't remember all of them. Anyone would be lucky to book a room at this "Petite Palais".

This small hotel is quaint but in need of many updates. Room 105 is tiny, with limited space for luggage and moving around. The hotel has an energy saving system that requires the room keycard be inserted in the wall receptacle. When removed, ALL power is off, so you cannot leave your laptop, camera, drone, etc. Charging. They only gave us one key, I asked them to make and insert another key when we left for dinner. Did not happen. The bathroom is tiny, there is a narrow bathtub and a glass half partition that leaks, sending water out to the parquet floor which has clearly seen a lot of water damage. There are streetcar tracks outside, and a lot of traffic. You can do much better elsewhere in Milan.

Highly recommend this small hotel. Elizabetta went above and beyond to assist us and made our stay fantastic. It is a short walk from the Metro station and the lobby and sitting room is gorgeous. This is a great option and a really good value for the area.
