Really enjoyable experience. Rooms were large and clean, water was hot, staff were brilliant. Kids had lots to do. As a Muslim family we felt welcome and were greeted with lots of Salaams! If you're from the UK, I would say that the hotel is more like a solid 4 star, but unless you're super picky you'll be very happy with the place. The food was good, with some variety, but as you'd expect with an all inclusive it was a little samey sometimes. The hotel beach is quite sharp and not pretty, but the snorkeling off the pier was a great experience with colourful fish and coral. The water is shallow for about 100m out where it drops off, so very suitable for young kids.

My husband and I travelled with our two kids 2 months and 1 year. We had a very nice time. Buffet was good and the food was varying from meats, veggies, soup, grill and everything in between. The pool area was also great for our 1 year old there was a 35cm cool and other pools for older ages too. The hotel was neat, clean and all the personel was so kind and always took the time to greet the kids and make sure we had what we needed. We will definitely recommend to family and friends back home.

The hotel and staff is very nice! We had the pleasure of having Mohammad Ramadan as our room cleaner (we were in room 1117) and he really went above and beyond to give us a very good stay. The waiters at the various restaurants were also very kind and attentive. It's a shame that only the children's pool was heated, giving adults no real place to relax without the noice and splashing. The music by the children's pool was very loud most of the day, which didn't help a lot. Also, we arrived around 2:45 PM and they didn't have our room ready until 4:10 PM, which was also a bit of a letdown.

Good overall experience but with just a few things to feedback on, Just a few minor changes/improvements would have made stay excellent! Starting with the 'hospital' bands provided on arrival, which cannot be removed during stay - not very impressive. Unsure why it's required? Do not disturb signs - means do not disturb...not knock gently! 3 separate beds for a couple? Why not just a king size bed? Air con - very loud & won't go off after reaching set temperature... just goes on and on! Door needs to be pulled shut rather than just turn & pull, causing unnecessary disturbance to others. Masjid on site - why not mention on arrival, just like mentioning bars & pools etc... at least sign post it so guests can use facility if they wish to do so.

We booked a last minute trip to Royal Moderna and seeing as this was our first time both in terms of the hotel but also Egypt itself we were really impressed. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, the staff were fab and the food was good quality. We travelled with two children aged 7 and 9 who spent the majority of their time in the water parks. There was a great selection of entertainment too and the access to the jetty and the open water was a real experience in itself. We cant wait to come back again next year
