Where do I start with this venue? We stayed a week during the September school holidays and from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we couldn’t believe how wonderful it was to be staying at the outrigger. Amanda and Peter are the most welcoming and accommodating people who showed us nothing but kindness, warmth and respect! We have 2 young children and it was absolutely perfect for them. My 2 kids also fell in love with Amanda and Peter, running to give them cuddles when they saw them each day! Our tour bookings were taken care of seamlessly by Amanda, the pool is clean, lovely and warm and our room was spacious, very clean and has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing comfortable stay. The location of the venue is perfect. It’s close to Macrossan street, the beach and walking distance to all the happy hour hot spots! The outrigger was quiet, relaxing and very family friendly and we wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else when we return to Port Douglas! We already can’t wait to go back and we all miss Amanda and Peter already. 100% highly recommend!

Just had the pleasure of spending 8 days at the Outrigger Port Douglas. The location is ideal, and the apartment was spotlessly clean. Air conditioning in every room, extra pillows, and a well equipped kitchen made for a comfortable stay. The share fridge and table where departing guests can leave items is an excellent idea. Our hosts, Amanda and Peter, could not have been more helpful - can’t thank them enough.

We stayed at the Outrigger in the school holidays for an eight day fly in family holiday. The hosts, Amanda and Peter, we very accommodating, lovely people who went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable and low fuss as possible. Amanda booked all of our activities making the trip run seamlessly and taking a lot of pressure off us. The accommodation itself is well appointed, very well maintained and very clean, notably so, and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. The facilities are older but not outdated and the accommodation was both family friendly and quiet. Thank you for a wonderful stay Amanda and Peter!
