Went for afternoon tea in January 2024. Had been given a voucher for afternoon tea for 2. Nice atmosphere in the house. Eclectic furniture. Afternoon tea was substantial and the scones were delicious. My only negative would be that the staff who were doing the afternoon tea were not always visible so if you needed anything you had to wait for someone to appear. However, the staff were all very friendly through.

Came here for festive afternoon tea and cocktails. The food and drink was fabulous. Great choice of real leaf tea. Fresh sandwiches, fruit and plain scone with jam and clotted cream selection of small cakes. Beautifully decorated for Christmas and real log fires. Dog friendly in certain rooms. Was able to charge our car for journey home which saved a stop. High end location but comparable price wise with the other afternoon tea providers with similar pedigree.

Staying here for the few nights we did while on our honeymoon last month was a main highlight of our entire trip! It was absolutely beautiful-- classy and inviting. The staff is exceptional, hardworking and kind. We can't wait to eventually come back for a longer stay!

This is one of the loveliest settings for a high tea, wonderful atmosphere and the food itself was generous, delicious and creative. A 5 star rating would have been given except for the service! We were given our order and then left. No-one came back to ask if we needed anything or to check that we were happy with our order. Consequently my husband had to get up twice to look for staff. It's a real shame as it takes so little to take the experience from average to excellent. Would definately give it another chance!
