I highly recommend this hotel. If I could give it ten stars, I would. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. The location is great. It is about a 5 minute walk from the Grand Bazaar, 7 minute walk from the Hagia Sophia, and a 7 minute walk from the Blue Mosque. The Topkapi Palace is also not very far from there, maybe a 10-15 minute walk. The area around the hotel is very safe. I never felt uncomfortable there, even when walking around late at night. But, most importantly, the staff is amazing—especially Veysel and Omer. They were always available to answer my questions and made me feel very welcome there. As a solo traveler, they also made sure that I didn’t feel alone, especially on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, when they spent some time having tea with me. All of the hotel staff are great, but those two are the best! I am looking forward to the next time that I return to Istanbul so that I can stay at the hotel. Also, the rooms and common areas of the hotel are very clean! On a side note, the breakfast served every morning is not a Western breakfast, so don’t expect bacon, eggs, and French toast. Breakfast consists of home fries, eggs, tomates, eggplant, fruit, and some other stuff that is typical of a Turkish breakfast.

Shout out to Ömer, the night time front desk staff! I’m usually a little nervous when I land at a new place and Istanbul was brand new to me when I first walked into Primero hotel. Ömer did a great job of making me feel right at home. He was over the top helpful, so much that whenever I had an issue or needed help with something I waited until he was on shift to ask him for help with things. The hotel as in a great location and the rooms are small, kind of no frills. It is the customer service experience that really stood out to me. Great work!

I stayed in this hotel from August 1-7 my name is Charles. The place was very clean and a great location. But, the staff is what made my staying more special. They were extremely accommodated. The guys who worked the front desk helped me with cruises and entertainment. I want to mentioned I was traveling alone. I highly recommend this hotel and definitely will be going back to them! Looking forward to see my new family at Primero😊 Charles Taylor, NY.

The hotel is very close to all the important sight-seeing in Sultanahmet Area. close to Cemberlitas Tram station, Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia and Grand Bazaar (within ~10min walk). Rooms are very decent in size and very clean. Walk able to Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern. We met Veysel who helped us throughout the stay for three days with all the great options to visit around. He always had recommendation for us, which saves us money and time. Thank you very much Veysel. We certainly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Sultanahmet for few days. On the last day when we wanted to visit bus station on a friday evening, the traffic had major impact on getting the taxi. Another contact at hotel helped us in booking the taxi and picking us right from the hotel door. It was a great help for us to catch the bus for our next visit. Overall a great stay! the only reason I am giving 4-star is because the basement room had regular traffic noise till midnight causing little disturbance to sleep but it was not a major issue.
