Profumo Maison Pellegrino was by far the worst hotel we stayed at in all our time visiting Rome. From the moment we walked into the hotel, we experienced several issues with the room we were staying in. First off, the hotel has no front desk, which makes everything so much more complicated with the issues we had in our hotel room. There was no one to ask for help and no one to assist us. Our AC unit didn’t work in our room, the room was humid, hot and the sheets were damp from the humidity. When we told the hotel that the AC didn’t work, they brought us a small AC unit for the room, which also didn’t work. It was hard to sleep and extremely frustrating. Our hotel door didn’t work. We couldn’t lock it and if you pushed the door, you were able to open it. We had all our belongings in the room, which made us feel extremely paranoid and unsafe. The hotel didn’t bother to fix it until our last night there. The light in our bathroom didn’t work, which made it impossible to get ready or shower properly with no working light. The shower was filled with black mold, at the bottom of the shower and all over the walls. I couldn’t believe it when I put my flashlight on to make sure it was actually black mold that I was seeing. The hotel Wi-Fi didn’t work; it wasn’t even worth using it. I found the overall hotel to be dirty and smelly. The hallway was extremely hot and humid, which made it hard to breathe. Overall, my experience at this hotel was awful. Considering how much we paid for a 3-night stay, I found it to be completely not worth it. I would never stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I wish I knew how awful this hotel was before booking it. If I could give this hotel a 0-star rating, I would.

⚠️SCAM⚠️ They showed me almost all the rooms. All of them had dirty AC and mold in the showers. When I tried to get back my money they started harassing me and demanded me to take down all the bad reviews. (So that is why you don't really see any other bad reviews because others chose to get their money back 😕)

For me, Profumo Maison Pellegrino is Home in Rome. The staff was wonderful and gave me my exact same room, Bucaneva, which I LOVE! Best kept secret in Rome. Highly recommend.

This was the worst hotel we stayed in over our month trip in Europe. There were many faults and we just didn’t want to even sleep here let alone if we had been there during the day. - the hotel was very very hard to find and staff were not responding to messages or calls from us when we were trying to find it. It took 20 minutes to find it thanks to a couple that had been looking before us and found it for us. - there where no staff, this made it a very impersonal stay, no one to ask for help or suggestions for places to go to and eat and no one to help make our stay more comfortable - the door in the bathroom was impossible to open and close making privacy impossible - it was very noisy on a main road with ambulances and cars going past and we could also hear other people in their rooms and entering and exiting the hotel, making it very hard to have a comfortable stay and get to sleep at night. We could also see the light from traffic through the windows. - It was boiling hot, the aircon didn’t seem to be working in which we told the hotel staff who said it should be and to try again the next day. When we messaged the next day saying it still wasn’t working we got no response. It was hotter than being in the sun outside the room and made it very hard to get to sleep. - the cleaner didn’t even clean the room, the only thing done was we got new towels but no bed was made or bins changed. - the wifi didn’t work and at the best of times was so slow it wasn’t even worth using. We contacted the staff about this with another; try again tomorrow and another no response the next day when we told them it still wasn’t working. This is horrible when overseas and relying on internet to speak to loved ones so they know you’re safe. Overall I would never stay again and not recommend for anyone to stay here even if it is close to some tourist spots. I would have rathered walked further and have a comfortable stay.

The only reason I stayed here was because I paid a room in their other hotel (Profumo Maison Colosseo) but they changed me here. 3.5km away my previous choice, I was paying to stay near the colosseum and I got a room very very far. The location is not worth the price, is in the middle of the road, the street is dark and there's a lot of big trucks at the main entrance. I would've never chosen this on my own. The heating is extremely high. The place is quite small and has no food service. There isn't any staff around, they just communicate with you via whatsapp. The window of the room goes to a highway. They were supposed to "upgrade" with this room but I felt otherwise.
