I’ve been to a LOT of hostels in my life and here’s my review of this one. I’ve only spent 2 nights there. Pros: Really comfy beds. Downstairs smells like incense and dirty couches but upstairs the rooms, washrooms and showers are very clean. Great space to lock your luggage, big cage under the bunk bed. Big kitchen with everything you need. I have not used the bar and other common areas so can’t say much about it. Great location. Cons: Very loud music until late (I can sleep through anything but if you’re a light sleeper, not sure how to put it better than saying you can clearly hear even the lyrics of the songs from your bed). Can’t sit on the bed - if you wanna chill you gotta lay down, the bed is way too low to sit. Creepy stairs with poor lighting, no elevator - not suitable for anybody with accessibility issues, incense in the reception - sorry I’ve never seen this before in a hostel and thought was pretty gross - very strong scent. Overall it’s ok.

I stayed here from 30th to 4th and really liked the place. Its cozy, big and has enough restrooms. The number of times the hostel staff said ‘no big deal’ to my requests (like getting an extra key because I locked myself out🙄) was amazing. A really professional and content set of people working here. Keep it up, you guys set a new bar for hostel experience.

I recently had an amazing experience at Aub QB Hostel. From the friendly staff to the meticulous cleanliness, everything contributed to a memorable stay. The comfortable rooms, modern amenities, and exceptional customer service exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this establishment and plan to return on my next visit. I don’t think the rooms look anything like the pictures online… the lockers for your luggage under the bed do not fit a standard lock pad (too small you have to force it in and at risk of hurting your fingers), the showers are extremely small with no space to clean yourself, top bunk has no room to sit up, common areas including washrooms do not have AC so you still feel gross after showering in the summer, only one outlet in your bunk if you want to keep your personal lamp plugged in, no curtain in common area in the deluxe bedrooms so light peaks into your room too much. The staff are nice and will try to be helpful with recommendations in the city, and the location is also great, I just felt very uncomfortable in the accommodations.
