the location is excellent, cat ba island does not disappoint. thats about the only thing this hotel does well in my opinion. the blankets in yhe room were thin, the air conditioning barely worked(we wanted it on heater mode but could not get it to work at all), the shower head pressure is the worst ive ever seen in any hotel, the hot water is really finnicky to use. go to better hotels than this. serviceable for a one night stay but other than that, avoid

Online it said check-in was until 22pm, asked if late check-in was possible and they informed me the hotel would close at 20.30. i said i would try and find a solution and before i knew it they cancelled leaving me with nowhere to stay. As a girl travelling on her own this js very scary and very disappointing. I expected more.

We stayed in Quang Tung hotel for two nights. We booked a room with sea view and got a room to the front with balcony. Nice view to the bay from there. We have read the recommendations and the negative comments here and were a bit concerned. I now understand both sides. The hotel is relatively new. The room was really large, actually the largest room of the last 4 hotels. The furniture looked good and stable. The bed was not soft, but reasonable. We slept well. The style, you can see it on the pictures. A bit Chinese, a bit minimalistic. But not made with love or passion. The room was clean. The bathroom was not. There were no leftovers from previous guests, so we didn't care to much. But lime from the water was everywhere. We also have water with lots of minerals at home. Proper cleaning is not magic. As already mentioned, the reception is not very helpful. Knowledge of English is very limited. But that would not be too much issue if they just would show some effort. No, from 18 h onwards the receptionist is laying on a couch in the lobby, watching phone and not greeting at all. Breakfast is limited, but spread over 20 meter of buffet. That can be done nicer, as well. Nobody seems to take care of the hotel. If the owner reads that; please put a capable manager there. The changes needed are really minimal to make it a very good location. Put some passion to it! I don't rate it down, because I see the potential here.
