The Relais is a delightful hotel, ideally located in the Old Town with access to all the sites Riga Old Town has to offer. The atrium is wonderful with all the mirrors and glass and a great sight from the glass lift. Our street facing room was quiet, spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed siting on the wide windowsill and watching life in the square. The room had all the amenities we needed. The designer cups, glasses, soap holders etc were a nice touch and sets of the quality of the hotel. We had included the breakfast package and this was definitely a good addition. The breakfast was very good, lots of choice and the omelettes were spot on. The staff in every part of the hotel were especially friendly and helpful. I actually cannot say enough praise in this area of service. The communication from the hotel was excellent and when we arrived very late (1am) after delayed flights (which we had let the hotel know about) the driver was welcoming at the airport and the receptionist was really inviting and helpful having stayed on just to wait for us. Highly recommend this hotel if you are looking to explore the Old Town and surrounding area.

Honestly one of the best hotels I have been to so far... It's on the side of the old town so you're right between the old center and the new one... Within 500 meters you can reach everything in the old town. Some rooms have a good view, but mostly I was very happy with the amazing service. I really recommend this hotel when you are going to Riga!

Unfortunately this is the rating you get from me. Stayed at the hotel from Friday to Sunday in a suite. The two star rating is due to: * No cleaning nor change of towels despite a sign on the door * Poor breakfast choices and the omelette with vegetables where made with canned/frozen (?) vegetables * Bathtub / Spa in room where missing something so electrical wires were exposed to water! * when spa drained, water all over * And last but not least the drum/guitar dancing party just above our heads Friday night. I do not care they stopped at 22, it was still too much! ... Good things were: * Lovely bed and covers * Spacious and beautiful view of the city * Best location If I'm to stay here again, it needs to be cheaper and I would pick a room to the indoor courtyard.. even though windows do not open there...
