Five stars entirely because of the incredibly helpful gentleman at the front desk and the stunning view. That said, this hotel is not luxury. The bed was small and firm, the view over an arterial road was constantly noisy, and there were no blackout curtains. It did, however, have a kitchenette, which would have been useful had I stayed longer. In other words, it was perfect for a short rest between long adventures in Lyon.

I spent at Villemanzy in Lyon for around 5 days. Overall, I think this hotel is not a hotel but rather a hostel and for the price of 80 Euro per night too expensive. The rooms are old, the parking is free but it is hard to get a parking spot. The staff was nice but the room was not cleaned. It is true that there is a good view but only some rooms have this view. My room was on the first floor and people outside on the street could look into my room when I had the window open. There is only one heater in the bathroom and the windows are not isolated well so it gets cold in the winter. I would not recommend to go to this hotel, only if you enjoy older hotels in the middle of the city.

this is an old building there was no airco, nor insect nets to stop wasps from coming in the wifi was so slow it was basically useless otherwise the rooms were very well equipped and the staff was nice

We booked for 2 nights but left after the first. The room had mold in the shower and was impossible to ventilate with an old ventilator. Because it was located under a flat roof the temperature was over 35 celsius. Even after having the window open at night the walls and bed felt really hot. The ''cold'' water felt warm so definitely a health risk. We payed over €90 per night but we slept in cheap hostels with more comfort. Would not recommend the place for anyone.
