The experience was generally okay. Some items that were unexpected was a $200 deposit was required for the room. The hotel already has our credit information, so why is this extra measure required? Second, our refrigerator was not working. We ended up plugging it into a different socket which was not a big deal. The room was clean. The breakfast was okay but staff should be present to clean up the area after people were eating. It was quite a mess with some guests not cleaning up after themselves. Otherwise, it was okay. I feel that the overall quality of Marriott hotels is decreasing in the United States.

Residence Inn hotel in jersey is located near to bus stand, so we get direct bus to newyork. But for ferries and other things definitely we need cabs or own cars. We book the hotel room with kitchen, they have provided basic utensils also which was very good. Room was very clean and well maintained. Coming to breakfast, they have decent menu with different yogurts, jams, breads, cornflakes, pan cakes, fruit juices, scramble egg etc.. good way to start the start

Rooms and staff are fine, but this is the worst view I've ever had in any hotel room I've ever stayed in. A filthy back alley overflowing with garbage from the restaurant next door. They'd be better off just bricking the windows shut with this view. Then again, you're not staying here for the view. You pick this place because you want a cheaper hotel with access to NYC.

Granddaughter #3 had an impromptu sleepover after celebrating her 18th B-day, so we Grandparents found ourselves thrown out of my daughter's Jersey City apartment & needed someplace to sleep ASAP! We got a last-minute booking & couldn't have been happier. The room was immaculate & customer service was great. The location made it easy for us to walk to find dinner & entertainment with a gas fire pit, restaurants & a movie theater with reserved, recliner seating & strong margaritas :-) right outside the back entrance. Later, I took the very plush, comfortable Queen-sized bed, he (6'4", 300lb former athlete) took the equally comfortable sofa & we both slept like babies! The bathroom was spacious & had quality toiletries on hand, which came in handy since I didn't get to pack. The continental breakfast was better than most than I've had, but I suggest you make an early run of it b4 families with small children start stirring. During our stay, a lot of the parents just let the kids go off on their own without supervision, and multiple disasters occurred around the time we were finishing our meal, but the staff was very attentive & patient with the children and worked quickly to clean everything. Overall, I think we ended up with a better deal (good food & wine, drunk movie watching, a good night's sleep & strong coffee with a filling breakfast) than the grandkids who were still in bed by the time we returned. Im looking forward to visiting again... Highly recommended!

I would like to say by far this is worst Residence by Marriott, I have stayed in. The customer service was service was awful I called in Friday night 12/1 too see about an early check in and the Man who answered phone was rude. Then I get here on Saturday 12/2 check, I wàtched football. When I go to get in bed there was dirty sheets and comforter on bed. Never before as an Ambassador Elite have I ever had too ask for and upgrade, everywhere offer me an one bedroom and stove. I stay on average 300 days out of the year at a Marriott Property and this place Secaucus have been my worst experience. Your host working Friday night 12/1 roughly 1am and your house keeper who cleaned room#504 needs Coaching on their duties as a Customer Service Provider. Just Horrible
