This was a hidden gem right in the middle of Venice! Absolutely amazing service by any staff that we encountered. The room was very clean and very modern. The views of the Grand Canal from the room were breathtaking. It was a one minute walk to Rialto bridge. We will stay here every time we return to Venice. A couple more things to note. It is on the noisier side because it is on the Grand Canal. So if you enjoy going to bed early maybe think about staying somewhere else. The air conditioning was very strong. Breakfast was your typical Italian breakfast with cold cuts, cheeses and espresso.

I’d definitely recommend this hotel because I had a great experience there. I spent two nights. First, the hotel is EXTREMELY central. You really can’t get more central than this. You’re walking distance to all the monuments and a few yards from the canal. Second, the design of the hotel is very nice, modern, and luxurious. Third, the hotel is very clean and they make an effort to make sure it always smells nice with incense. Fourth, the breakfast view is unreal, especially if you can grab a table near the window to see the canal. It’s like a movie. Lastly, the customer service was amazing. We will never forget Silvia and how sweet, welcoming, pleasant, and helpful she was. She always asked about our day and if we had a good time. She should really be promoted because she went out of her way to recommend spots for us.

Very nice small boutique hotel in Venice. Excellent customer service. Spacious room with a comfortable bed. Everything you need was there. Good breakfast buffet, delicious good enough though not many variety. If added some salads or vegetables it would be wonderful.

I wanted to love this place. The photos online were beautiful. I will start by saying that the hotel staff was very helpful, welcoming, friendly. They upgraded us to canal view since I had emailed about it and they did it based on availability. Location was good (I guess? If you want to be in the middle of all the loud and busy areas.) Here was my issue. The windows didn’t have any screens- so keeping the windows open when it was hot means I was attacked in the middle of the night by mosquitos biting all over my face, not to mention the loud noises of the canal and the local ferry going back and forth all night keeping me awake. I couldn’t keep the windows closed as there was no fan and it would get stifling hot (we were there in April!!!). The complimentary breakfast was EXTREMELY basic, even by American hotel standards too. It didn’t help that I actually caught covid while in Venice and I’m sure NOT sleeping at night did not help my immune system in the slightest. So here is my recommendation: if you’re looking for rest and quiet at night, don’t choose this place. BUT if you want to really be in the heart of it and stay up late, this is a great location for you. It’s really in the middle of everything- much like staying right in Times Square would be for people visiting NYC.

Our stay at Riva del Vin was the perfect way to wrap up our 3 week European vacation. For the reviews with complaints, they obviously did no research and are upset they didn't have an American experience while in Italy! The location was perfect, on the Grand Canal close to the Rialto Bridge. There are sidewalk restaurants and the bustling canal. Easy access for water taxi & shuttle to airport. The staff was absolutely amazing and couldn't be more accommodating. Even though it rained the 3 days we were there, it didn't take away from our experience. We were provided with umbrellas and they even arranged transport to Murano and a glass factory tour. The hotel itself is quaint and cozy, you definitely felt like you were in Venice (not a generic hotel by any means). The breakfast is served in a common room on the 2nd floor with views of the canal. And there's another common room on the 3rd floor with couches and chairs to enjoy the views as well. Our 3rd floor room was beautiful with a fully modern bathroom complete with a towel heater and bidet. Didn't even matter that our view was on the backside or there was no screen... that's all part of being in Venice! The AC works with your key card and had no issues cranking it with the August heat. I hope to someday be able to return to Venice and the Riva del Vin Boutique hotel.
