Booked a five day package at this hotel - which was described as 4 stars, luxury and opulent. In a nutshell completely over offered and massively under delivered! Our offer included an upgrade to DELUXE room. Our room was small, very basic with a smell of sewage. We went straight to reception and were immediately without question given a better room. This was bigger and better but still fairly basic compared to what we were sold! Added to horrendous hard bed, smell of sewage and noise carrying through from other guests and staff. Breakfast was just about OK- fresh juice and most decent offerings were all charged as extras. The staff were so unhelpful and very miserable. The Spa and Gym was a massive disappointment as hotel wanted 90€ a session for the two of us - so wasted precious package space for gym kits. We had enough and decided to check out early but for a second time given an upgraded room, which was at last acceptable but we would never return to this hotel.

First and foremost this is NOT a 4 star hotel by US standards. Three star tops. My room was booked through a third party as part of a package so I'm not exactly sure what I paid per night, but as part of the package I had three nights in a Florence four star hotel and this room hotel wasn't as nice To be clear, there's no glaring problem with the room or the hotel. The bed was just as uncomfortable as every bed I've ever slept in in Europe :-). I just like my bed a little softer I guess. Also, they have the slowest revolving door I have ever experienced. It's motorized so you can't make it go any faster. I felt like I spent a fair percentage of my vacation in that damn revolving door. In addition the entire property is dated, though everything was functioning as designed. The front desk was friendly and helpful and the person running the included breakfast was exceptionally friendly, but the food left a lot to be desired. Bottom line, if you're paying a two and a half or three star price there is nothing wrong with the place, Just don't go and expecting a four star experience.

Room was dated and the double bed was 2 singles put together which moved about depending on where you were lying it was annoying. There was an awful smell of sewers coming from the bathroom too. Breakfast was good. We really only spent time in the hotel for sleeping due to being out sightseeing everyday. Staff were friendly enough. Could have done with a bath which is what it looked like we were getting but there were none available upon request.

Review is for people traveling with babies. Room was nice and baby bed and sheets were clean and good. The bathroom could be a little slippery when wet and it was hard when giving the baby a bath. The elevator is small for the stroller but that is to be expected and almost all elevators are small in Italy. The breakfast was okay. We had better in other hotels. They should really work on that.

The room was very pretty and light and airy and the bedroom floors were tiled which felt clean. The ceiling of the room was beautiful. It has good air conditioning in the room. The free breakfast had good options including mini pastries, marble cake, small bread rolls, some fruits, yoghurts, cereals, vegetables and hams and a cupboard full of gluten free options. There was another menu which you could pay for other breakfasts like French toast, eggs Benedict etc which were all about €10 each. You had to pay an extra €5 if you wanted orange juice because it wasn’t included in the free breakfast. We booked through Jet 2 and the deal we booked had the spa included in the package and is the reason why we booked this hotel, however the hotel cancelled the spa as a part of the deal and would not offer us some money off. The location of the hotel was good and a safe area. There is quite a few restaurants nearby and they are cheaper since they aren’t in the city centre so we got dishes of carbonara for €9 each which we thought was a good price. The staff were helpful when we asked for restaurant recommendations nearby.
