Boutique Hotel, refurbished and comfy. Some rooms have balconies overlooking the street and others had little balconies overlooking internal courtyard. I really enjoyed talking to the staff and sharing a Turkish coffee with them. Close to little grocery shops, and cafes, main shopping district of the area 10 mins up the hill. Lively area, great staff and a shared kitchen ... I liked it a lot. If you like something a little quirky with atmosphere then I highly recommend Rooms Galata. The elevator starts from the second floor. So, the guest has to go up two stories until finds a small elevator that fits only two people. The hotel is historical. So, they could not change too much in the building. The price is high for that kind of hotel and amenities. The reception was very good and friendly but, he could not change the situation. They don't accepted to cancel our reservation. One of the family got surgery and she couldn't walk from stares. So, she has to walk for two stories until get the elevator.

The hotel has a nice location and the rooms are modern, well decorated. Staff tries its best to help but mostly they don't speak english at all. Room floors are wooden and extremely noise. One can't walk around without waking up the partner. The windows' blinds don't work and the room is very light theoughout all 4 night's we've stayed in. Last but not least, had to shower twice with cold water mid Istanbul fall season. I'm staying with my wife an 3 year old kid. The pros just aren't better than the cons. I don't recommend the stay.

A life example of the pictures vs reality. It felt to me like I was living inside a 5000 years old cave. It’s very old and antique (probably also possessed). The rooms is so small in a questionable neighbourhood. I’m not going to talk about how they tried to take more money for the room. Don’t be deceived by the balcony description because in reality it’s an indoors balcony that looks like it was carved inside underground. Just as we opened the door, the door handle broke. I’m so happy that i won’t be back because it was traumatic. Staying there is like punishing yourself.
