Price performance was good. The location is very good because you can visit from this place all the city by foot. The rooms are clean. We spent 7 days and in these days they changed only 1 thime the towels and also it could be cleaner in the restrooms/ toilets. This would be the negative point for taking a star. What was annoying was the noise... there is a terrace in front of the window and they are open till 00:00 so you can not go faster to sleep. Our bad luck was that in the morning at 8:00 AM they started also to hammer and renovate nearby so we could not sleep longer from Monday till Saturday due to the noise.

Great service! The manager is very friendly and talkative but without being nosy. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The location is perfect if you like to grab a bite at night or get some fresh food in the morning from the markets. They also have a fridge for you to store your fresh food which is also great if you are on a budget. The entrance is a little bit hard to find but you still definitely find it because it has a huge sign with the name of the hostel.

Russafa was without doubt the best hostel I've ever stayed in. I have to start with the owner, who is just so attentive and helpful. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are big. I had a really good sleep. The breakfast was great. The location is excellent - you can get basically anywhere on foot. I hope I'll have a chance to stay here again.

Overall nice place and friendly staff. The room I booked said there'd be AC in the room, which wasn't true. Other than that it was a good size and comfortable (just put the fan on full speed). Breakfast was simple (toast, jam, coffee, orange juice) but welcome. Location is great, close to cool boho bars and restaurants and an easy bus ride to the most popular beach. Do yourself a favor and get a bus pass if you're looking to explore a lot because I averaged 25000 steps a day.

The staff are brilliant. Very friendly, helpful and very hard-working (they seem to work incredibly long shifts). I liked the location of this hostel - very central. It is a 20 minute walk from the Old Town and a 20 minute walk from the City of Arts and Sciences. The beach was a 45 minute cycle or 30 minute bus ride away.The bedroom we had was small but comfortable. There was a fan in the room and no air-con which wasn't a problem for us. The window shutters were fantastic for blocking out the early morning sunlight.
