The hotel itself is modern and very clean. The staff are friendly and professional. The food (especially their cheeseburger and fries) and beer are quite tasty. A great fact of the hotel is that it's across the street from about a dozen restaurants and shops. This place rocks!

This hotel is exactly what we needed for a relaxing weekend. The rooms are clean, the amenities are robust, but the best thing about it is the staff. The service from the moment we arrived was stellar. In fact, E. Cooke at the front desk was incredibly helpful with our decision to choose this location in the future. It is centrally located to everything you need, and we will make this our primary place to stay any time we visit the greater San Diego area.

Stayed here in December and had a okay experience. Booked a second hotel stay for this weekend and needed to cancel the reservation due to my wife having covid. I called the front desk and they stated its a nonrefundable reservation. So you're telling I can't cancel and still need to come a spread covid in your hotel room? That makes sense.

The lobby is very nice, clean, and modern. Location is nice, not super close to the beach, but right in the heart of the UTC area (great shopping). The room was a bit underwhelming. There was a long dark stain on the floor, the mattresses felt like they had broken springs, and there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom so if you took a hot shower your room stayed really stuffy. Front desk staff was very friendly. Parking fee was a bit steep, but parking garage was convenient and felt safe.

I stayed here this week for the first, and last time. 2 star experience at 4 star prices. This hotel is very old and dated. The lobby area looks like it's been upgraded but that's about it. Within just a few days an elevator, both escalators and the parking garage gate were broken. The MClub breakfast is really poor in comparison to other Marriott properties. Rooms are tired and worn out, especially the bathrooms. And is it too much to ask in 2023 for room doors that close quietly, rather than at explosion level noise?
