Breakfast was good, fresh made. Nothing fancy. Single, standard junior room was nice except shower was cold with spurts of warm even after running for 10 minutes. Location is well situated to stuff but neighbouring neighbourhood can look sketchy. Recommend for seasoned travelers looking for a deal.

Not one to usually post publicly, but feel it my duty to give my experience. I booked a 2 night stay for a surprisingly good rate. When arriving to check in at 1700 about 30 meters from entrance to hotel I was approached by homeless man with a knife, fortunately I was able to get away. The hotel is located on a quiet side street off a busy area. This side street is used by homeless people to sleep/camp. These events unfortunately do happen in Bogota and clearly not the fault of the hotel. But I can not recommend this hotel. Furthermore to enter you most wait for the receptionist to make a 1 minute journey to let you in which is not comforting on a shady side street. Furthermore I felt let down by the hotel after entering the building: 1) The receptionist only spoke Spanish and with the help of my beginner Spanish and Google translate I was able to explain what happened to little support - evidently as this is a frequent event in Bogotá. The advise is to offer money (my instinct was to run). 2) I asked to cancel the booking for either one or both nights but was told this was not possible. Instead I cancelled via booking.com which charged 50% cancellation fee. The hotel did not waive the fee. 3) I asked if I could speak to the manager or someone able to speak English to help with communication - this was refused. 4) After deciding to that I did not feel safe and intended to choose alternative accommodation the staff member was rude and dismissive. Avoid.
