I have stayed 2 nights at this hotel. In general, I was happy to stay here. I would like to mention about a public area issue I met here. There is a pool table play at the lobby. However, there was no booking for arranging the order of the guests willing to play it. We ,as guests, tried to arrange a queue by ourselves. There is no clear time slots. Wait indefinitely, or talk to the ones already playing and request their end time of playing. In addition, the table is closed at 11 pm by the hotel. I made a complaint to the front desk staff on 19 August night. It would be better if there was a booking to arrange the guests willing to play. Hotel manager please be accepted this is a positive advice.. Regards.

I had booked a room at this hotel for three reasons; first it's close to where my youngest daughter lives, second it has free parking and finally I'm a Scandic member. When I arrived for my check-in they confirmed I was in their booking system but said they were occupied with a large number of guests to manage for check out so I needed to come back. When I returned three hours later I was just to enter the hotel when the fire alarm went off forcing all guests out of the hotel and confirmation by the arriving fire brigade that is was a false alarm. My booking was now no longer in the Scandic booking system so I gladly quit the hotel and left for another one, better organized. Besides these glitches, the hotel is located in a most unattractive area of town. I will certainly never return.

WE enjoyed staying at the hotel - the breakfast was great and we really liked the free pool table. As a UK tourist we found the area a bit strange - half of it is a building site but at the same time there's a really nice cafe across the water and a good Indian restaurant not so far away. People also swim nearby which you definitely couldn't do in a similar area in London!
