Seattle Marriott Waterfront was a bit of a disappointment. (1) Location: not ideal. While centrally located, there isn’t much around and you’ll have to climb your way to Pike Market and other downtown streets. (2) Rooms: were clean and relatively modern. With that said, the shower water pressure is consistently very low. (3) Gym: old equipment and overall an old gym that requires renovation and re-equipment. (4) Overall: felt like a conference hotel. While the staff were great and so was the service, the hotel felt outdated and not of great value.

I'm going to start off by saying that I am not fond of hotels, at all! I ended up in this rainy city on the sound for a work trip recently. Work booked this hotel which I was slightly skeptical about. You know how cheap work can be when it comes to accommodations. However I could not have been more surprised when I actually arrived. Well, actually I kind of was surprised because the outside did not look fancy at all, and it was quite unassuming. I was pleasantly surprised when we pulled up to the valet and they were extremely friendly and there were actually heaters in the valet area in case you were cold while waiting for your whip to arrive. Coming from Florida this was a welcome addition. The lobby area looks like it just had a fresh redo and is very welcoming and warm, as were the front desk staff. The bar, however pricey, was also a quaint little spot to get your drink on. Now on to the room. Again being skeptical I was cautiously optimistic about the room based on how nice the rest of the hotel was. Upon entering, I could not have been more pleased. The shower was all glass and there was not one watermark on the entire thing! There was not one strand of hair on the entire floor(you know what's usually there 🤮)and the room smelled clean and was actually way beyond my expectations. My room had a view of the sound but being foggy and rainy, I didnt get to appreciate it much. The hotel was in walking distance to Pier 66, Pike Market and numerous other attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone that is staying in the Seattle area.

The hotel had a beautiful view of the water and sunset. We could walk to restaurants or up to Pike’s Market. The M club was great to get snacks during the day. The parking attendants were so attentive and helpful. We will be back the next time we are in Seattle.

August 2023: Stayed here for three nights from Thursday night to Sunday. Overall, was happy with my stay. I would consider staying here again. Pros: Bed was very comfortable. Like how they provide king size pillows on the king size bed. (Can't understand why some hotels give you the standard size pillows on a king bed.) Rooms are a good size. Cleanliness met expectations. Location was great. Short walking distance to Pike Place Market. Lots of food options nearby. Service was friendly. Gym was a decent size with lots of equipment and machines. Pool looked good. The lounge that was for platinum members and above had some okay snacks. Cons: The breakfast experience was very disappointing. We got seated on our first morning at this table that was tucked in a notch in the walls. There were plenty of tables by the window but the guy stuck us in this lousy spot. We waited about ten minutes and no one came to talk to us. No one offered coffee. We felt totally ignored. So we just left. I get that they were probably under staffed. But I didn't like how we were treated.
