We absolutely loved our stay at Pivot! The room was the super clean, the kitchen was incredibly helpful, and having access to the roof top was an added bonus. The neighborhood was lively without being too crowded or noisy and there were tons of cool shops and eats within walking distance. Two things we loved were the free luggage lockers that we used since our flight got in early and the amenity shelves. If we needed extra towels or soap, we didn’t have to message anyone. We just walked down to grab them. We’ll be looking to stay at Sonders for any of our future trips!

Brand new building and super modern experience—new enough it seems weird. The hotel isn't 100% of the building and there's no real front desk. I only saw one staff member, but they were super helpful. From reservation confirmation to checking out, everything is handled though the app. Registration has higher levels of security that, frankly, felt intrusive; then I read the fine print, trusted their system, and everything was really easy. The room itself was super modern and immaculate—basically a furnished apartment! Major bus lines go right in front of the hotel, made even easier by the city's transit app. The only downsides aren't really in the hotel's control: there's a lot of road reconstruction across the street so there's noise and blocked roads and sidewalks. The view of downtown was nice, though smoky. On initial exploration, it felt like there were a lot of unhoused people around, but after some time in the city, it was pretty standard everywhere I went.

This location is fantastic. Close to transit both Monorail and link light rail. Capitol Hill has a ton of bars and restaurants, walkable to Pike Place and many other interesting spots. The Sonder itself was exactly what we needed, a homey enough stay and felt safe in that area and building.

It was very clean and a good experience, but at the moment it says house keeping services are unavailable which is an unexpected bummer since we are staying a week, especially since our note online stated we could request one during our stay. Our biggest qualm, however, is the mattress. It’s a very VERY firm memory foam mattress (which does not stay cool) and I have an old back injury which makes it very hard to stay asleep on such a hard surface. My partner has been waking with back pain the last 3 nights which he does not have at home. Other than that the location is great and there are many options for various authentic ethnic cuisines within walking distance. With a better mattress I would give it 5 stars.
