The location is good. Thats about it. Dec, no aircon and was asked to open window for cool air. My room has a ceiling to low window and on my first night, a Big rat came to the room and my room is on the 12th floor. Imagine that!! I literally freaked out and initially thought was some ghost. When i told the reception, this particular smart alec guy simply gave a smirk. Dealing with him the next few days had been challenging too. I will say this, avoid this hotel at all cost. Btw, i was forced to pay in full on the first day and thus I cant make any changes. I stayed for 5 nights. Wifi never work for any nights.

Not so welcoming from the outside but one of the best place of the city. Directly on Nanjing street. The room look kinda old (like the building), but it's clean and quite spacious.

stayed at seventh hotel it's on Nanjing road both people square and east Nanjing Rd metro on line 2 accessible , hotel rooms ok, present they don't offer breakfast

Seventh Heaven hotel is located right in center of East Nanjing Road. If you have come for shopping to China, this is the best place you can ever be in Shanghai. Unbelievable location and the place comes alive post evening. The breakfast is very good including bread toast, fried noodles, potato fry, peanuts, coffee, eggs, juice, corn among other things. I didn't spend a single penny on taxi given the location and its jus a ten minute walk to the bund. Hotel room is comfortable and clean. So go for it without a doubt. Most Staffs understand broken English so it isn't a problem to communicate at all.

Small room ( I'm fine with that) Rock hard beds - bad. Hard pillows 5 inches thick. very cold during the winter. Heater is centrally controlled and set to about 22 Celsius and your room won't get anywhere near that. Don't know about the aircon. Wifi slow- about 600kbps. On the plus side, this hotel is located right on Nanjing East tourist street. Front desk staff speaks English, housekeeping speaks Chinese only and whatever u need, well, you'll need a translator. 300rmb security fee when u check in. You get that back when u leave
