Pool was great, with deep areas for adults and shallow areas for the kids. Pool lounges were away from the pool area and replaced with tables and umbrellas, and this allowed those that wanted to just sun-bake enough space and didn't clutter the pool area. Rooms were nice and had smart TV's that allowed sharing of tablet or mobile content to watch movies. Food and night markets within a few minutes walk and great value.

We stayed here for the weekend and arrived on Friday evening. Our check in was handled smoothly by Wind, and it gave us a good first impression of the hotel. Our room was clean and located at a quiet corner as per our request. Breakfast spread was great and we enjoyed all the facilities provided. The location was also excellent, the beachfront was nice and there were plenty of amenities within walking distance from the hotel. On top of that, we got a nice surprise birthday cake sent to our room, which was beyond our expectations. The only thing that was dissapointing during our stay was the staff at the Garden Cafe entrance during breakfast hour. We had a missunderstanding regarding our dining voucher, but the staff handled it poorly and we felt that they were rude and condescending. Other than that, it was a great stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in Batu Ferringhi.

Was a really great stay at Shangri La! This place is just outside the night market and has a lot of eateries & massage parlours around. Despite the huge huge crowd at the hotel, the staff were very attentive, friendly and tried their best to accommodate your needs The pool and gym were also great! Loved how fun they make the place for the children But the beach is not well maintained at all. It’s barely a beach. I would recommend you hang at the pool or their garden! The rooms were good and clean, and the food was amazing! Loved their buffet selection, there was even hot Milo being served! I would recommend coming to this place with family as their facilities and activities are more suited for such groups. Not really recommended for couples or solo trips because it can get really loud in the hotel with all the children’s excitement. Enjoy! :)

I am very happy, stayed at Shangri La!The location of the hotel has a beautiful view looking towards the sea, and The place is outside the night market and has many eateries.. The pool and gym are great too! Love how fun they are to set up a place for kids. the food is good from buffet style food during dinner and breakfast. The service is excellent with very friendly and helpful staff especially Wind who has been very helpful during our stay so far.I would recommend coming to this place with family as their facilities and activities are more suitable for such groups. Happy Holiday!

This hotel is curved so 50% of the rooms have a seat view and 50% look over the road, town and hills. There is an extensive range of swimming pools ranging from children's paddling pools to an adult only pool. There's a water slide and splash zone. Definitely a great hotel for kids. The pools operate between specific times and there's life guards and other staff who arrange water volleyball. A large number of loungers and seating is present all served by food and beverage options. The staff were all welcoming, friendly and happy to help. To the front is a sandy public beach with various water sports available (but the hotel have their own as well). Plenty of car parking and there's a bus stop right outside the hotel (George Town was about 2.75 MYR one way. Have the correct fare as you don't get change).
