We booked this place for 6 days, it is a lovely place in a quite neighborhood. But our stay was ruined by cockroaches. On the second night we discovered multiple cockroaches in the house. We contacted management, they were responsive and promised to fumigate the place the next day. Overnight we saw more cockroaches. Our one year old was sleeping on the floor which kept us more worried. We decided to move to hotel after a sleepless night. Management found a place for us by midday the next day but only after we asked them to look for one, we were already at a hotel by the time they found a place. We ended up double paying for our stay in Kyoto in addition to spending a day packing, moving and unpacking. Management should have fumigated the place and made sure it is clean before receiving guests. They could have also at least offered to refund us for our botched stay, but they didn't.
