Its geographical location is very convenient, situated on a very narrow street in the center of the old town, the entrance to the hotel is a very narrow, inconspicuous door that can be easily missed if not careful. It is only a ten-minute walk from the famous Hagia Sophia. The streets here are narrow and bustling, filled with shops and restaurants. The hotel provides excellent service, warm and attentive, offering free room upgrades to guests when available. The rooms upstairs come with a sizable balcony, offering a view of the park opposite. The rooms are clean but somewhat outdated, and there's a significant gap between the doors and the floor, allowing light from the corridor to enter at night, which can affect sleep. In terms of hardware, it would not qualify as a four-star hotel by strict international standards and conventions. However, it offers an experience of old times and Turkish baths.

Great location but some strange experiences during my visit that didn't leave a positive impression. Expected a better overall experience give the many positive reviews and room rate. -During a 4 night stay, staff have entered my room without knocking twice, second woke me up at 9am -Room cards keep locking me out, had to get replacements four times, was eventually told if it gets too close to your phone it can be wiped (never had this issue before at another hotel) -Had a bathroom towel that smelled like diesel fumes (faulty dryer?) -Hammam in the wellness center was out of order with no signs and the woman at the desk suggested it had been closed for a while Outside of that, the location was great with easy access to the tram, good housekeeping when they weren't entering unannounced, Turkish delights left in the room was a nice touch, pretty good breakfast and nice option for afternoon tea.

I stayed here for 3 nights in late November 2023. I chose this hotel based on location, reviews and the fact the hotel had elevators. While the rooms very not luxurious they were more than adequate, the bed was comfortable and the room and hotel were very clean. Our room came with free breakfast and we found it fantastic with a wide assortment of options. The entire staff was very friendly and helped us with directions and answered any questions we had. One highpoint was as we were leaving the hotel for our cruise ship many of the staff came outside and waved a farewell. We felt so special and cared of. Kind of what you may expect from a movie.

This hotel is a gem! Bang in the middle of the old district and overlooking Gulhane Park. The tram stop is right at the end of the street. Our room was spacious and spotless, and the cleaner left Turkish Delight each day for us. The staff are charming and welcoming, and catered for my gluten free needs each morning at breakfast. We made use of the Hamman, sauna and swimming pool in the basement, which was great. When we left all of the staff came out onto the street to wave us off, which was such a lovely touch. I can't recommend the hotel highly enough, so five stars all round.
