My family spent a week here in one of the villas to celebrate Christmas and had a fantastic stay! We loved being able to split our time between the uncrowded beach - eating lunch at the bar/restaurant there, and the pool in the center - taking full advantage of the swim-up bar. (Lamar provided fantastic service and delicious drinks!!) We also booked a chef for our dinners and cannot recommend Chef Mar enough!! She was incredibly accommodating for my sister's citrus allergy, and every thing she made was absolutely spectacular!! We will definitely be returning next year and recommending Solymar to friends and family in the meantime!

For the few days you will be there not too bad for people on budget, do your homework before booking, the pool is not open and under construction, so this is your first fun area is crossed off the list and you can imagine with 2 kids how disappointed that would be, people sublease these condos on Airbnb and other apps, our host was really understanding and they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant as much as they can.

The Condo we stayed in was just great!...It was a home away from home.The master bedroom had an amazing view,each floor had a balcony. 3 restrooms for a family of 5 was helpful. They have a laundry room that was so handy,usually we go home with dirty clothes but we got to wash before leaving! (As a mom,that's a total plus. Their kitchen is prepped with just about everything and anything you may need. Pots and pans,spices to cook,coffee maker,blender,water heater thingy. Clean water from the water jugs. The only thing i recommend is that you buy groceries for your stay. The hotel offers food,it is a buffet,like $15/20 per person and half price for kids under 12. The food is good but even tho it is a buffet,there are not many options,it is a small buffet. But it is open all day,so if you don't wanna cook,there a place nearby. Also there is a bar by the beach which was within super close walking range for us,we walked the beach to the bar and back. It was calm,nothing loud. The Condo also had beach toys for my kids. Towels for the beach and even extra sand chair for the kids . We left all day Friday and came back to a clean and fixed house,the housemaid had asked if we would like her to come by and she did our beds and new towels. They even have a safe for all the personal belongings,i liked that because i didn't want to be walking around with our passports. The place was beautiful,clean and just comfortable,i plan on returning soon.

This is our last night here and we want to say this place is great. Of course, it might not be 100% great for everyone as can be seen from other reviews. But anything potentially lacking about the room (and for us, there has been nothing missing) is overshadowed by the amazing view and most importantly by the personality of the host, Michelle. She has done EVERYTHING we asked for and more. Would we come back? Definitely yes.
