As an international student from Taiwan, this lodge is super close to my campus. Besides, the manager is very friendly. He introduced me the room and showed me around when I asked the quote in the beginning. While I stayed there, he even shared the sweet on Diwali (Festival of light). The room is quiet for winter season, and the bed is comfortable. I spend my last month in Monterey in this lodge. After all, highly recommended.

Stayed here for a wedding as it was recommended by the bride and groom. Clean, basic rooms but the lights in the hallway and cheap blinds made it hard to sleep since it didn’t get very dark in the room. Also sheets and mattress were pretty low quality. I’d shell out some more cash for somewhere more comfortable next time.

Room was clean, bed was very comfortable. There were firm and soft pillows to choose from. It was pretty quiet (I was on the upstair floor). Desk manager was friendly. Disadvantages: Smell in the room wasn't fresh because of dirty old carpet. (Please don't use carpet in motel it is not good idea.) No tea in the room only coffee. The lights outside the room are on whole night, making it too bright in the room.

This place was absolutely perfect for my family of 4... Our room was clean and just enough space for all of us without feeling cramped. The location is great, within walking distance of Dennis the Menace Playground. Cannery row was just a short drive away. The area we stayed in was quiet and easy to get a good nights sleep. The staff we communicated with were helpful and friendly... Highly recommend Stage Coach Lodge Monterey and would absolutely stay there again.
