Rooms: Beds were very comfortable, and a microwave and fridge are included as well as an air conditioning unit. The shower curtain has to be pulled flush with the wall or you will flood the bathroom and the sink and toilet only fully drain sometimes Service: Excellent daily room service, though the office is typically closed before 08:30 Location: Very quiet and comfortable. Across the street from a shopping mall and public bus stop, though you can only turn right out of the parking lot if driving

Newly renovated room, very clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast was just grab and go granola bars and some fruit. Wish they had more options like other days inn. Otherwise it was a great stay for the price, clean and easily accessible to the wharf, aquarium and the freeway down to Carmel and Big Sur. Area was safe and across the street from a nice mall. You can walk to the Farmers market on Friday mornings! Would stay again.

A nice 2 floor (ground and first floor) motel with a decent sized car park. There is a low entry way and an open entry way for vehicles so check as you approach the car park. It is about 1.5 miles away from the tourist centre of Monterey and opposite a large retail park so that you can stock up at reasonable prices if needs be. The rooms are of a decent size and were clean and well decorated. The bed was comfy, the TV ands coffee facilities worked and the bathroom was a decent size and everything was working as it should. We had booked earlier that afternoon but there was an issue with the card we used to book however the motel kindly kept a room aside for us (Room 101, the accessibility room) and we resolved the matter upon arrival. This was very thoughtful of them as the motel was busy and Monterey does not have many reasonably priced places to stay with parking let alone free and on site. Room 101 is next to the manager's office and the ice machine so can suffer from some noise when people get ice or when the management staff go in and out of the back door to their office and it bangs shut however our worst problem was the very loud family in room 102 who did eventually go to sleep but started up again early the next morning. One common factor we found during our California road trip is that the Californians just use wood to build rather than concrete and as such the sound deadening for neighbouring rooms is limited and you always get creaking and footsteps from those above you. If you can manage the stairs go for the top floor, at least that way you only have to deal with the noise from your neighbours but a good bang on the wall often suffices :)
