Clean rooms and common areas. Staff are pleasant and helpful, good English. Good location for my needs. They have motorcycle rentals but only 2 parking spaces for cars. If you are driving the roads are very narrow. Google does not take you the best way there. My needs are basic and this hotel is perfect for me.

The staffs are very nice and helpful but honestly, the room could have been better. When I arrived there was blood stains on my bed sheet, room was quite dirty (bath tub has hair) and everything seems to be breaking off… All is all I’d like to give this place a 3 stars because the location is walkable to Nimmarn (if you love walking like me, or renting a bike!)

The lady at the reception is kinda rude ,but she’s so happy when she see old white guy,weird,she’s complaining about when I asked for the water ,she’s like why don’t u ask the waiter in the early morning ?!….she’s angry and says bring ur own trash outside…..it definitely affect your holiday mood somehow .

Lovely, simple place to stay. Room cleaning service could have been more thorough but was by no means terrible. Some things should be updated, like shower curtain with some mold at the bottom. Staff is very friendly and the neighborhood is quiet but lively at night with lots of great, authentic Thai family-style restaurants. Stay here for a real Thai experience, close to the tourist-y stuff but in the middle of real Thai life.

Sunshine House Standard Room Check-in: October 5, 2019 Check-out: October 25, 2019 Online booking: Under 500 baht per night Front desk booking: Under 700 baht per night If you decide to extend your stay be sure to book online. This is a low budget hotel and so naturally expectations need to be adjusted accordingly. My four star rating is relative. Does this hotel compare favourably with a 20,000 baht a night or even a 2,000 baht a night hotel? No, it certainly doesn’t. It is reasonably quiet and comfortable. The standard room is acceptable for a few days to two weeks. The room is probably not the best for a digital nomad, internet dependent traveller. Wi-fi is available at no additional charge. When working expect an average download speed of 5.5 MB / second. Wi-fi will go down periodically and the staff must be alerted to re-start the router. The guy in the evening does not know how to accomplish this. The bed is rock hard as others have mentioned. The pillows are so large as to be almost useless. If this bothers you it would be best to look elsewhere. Positives: Sunshine House is one of the cheapest options around. Consistently cheery English speaking staff. Daily room service. New towels and two bottles of water each day. A free very basic breakfast is offered in the lobby each morning. I found the location to be convenient for my needs. Most things were an easy walk or a less than 100 baht Grab ride away. Smoking is not allowed and is generally not done throughout the building. Negatives: There are no safe box options on site, no safe box at the front desk or in guest rooms. While coin operated clothes washing machines and are available on the ground floor the dryer needs to be reset to the highest temperature each time. Good results are not reliable. The bathroom is a bit dreary and dark. It contains the only mirror in the room but the area is too dark to use properly.
