Swissôtel Lima

I had the most amazing time at Swissotel last month with my partner! The service was top-notch, especially Ana de la Cruz, who took care of us during breakfast. She was absolutely lovely! Unfortunately, we had to leave early for our morning flight, so we didn't get the chance to say goodbye. I hope she knows how much we appreciated her recommendations for places to visit during our short stay.

This is the 8th time I have stayed here over the last 5-years. The service is always top notch and is the best hotel in the San Isidro area of Lima. I always stay in a business suite. You get 2 nice bathrooms, a very nice sized living room and a very comfortable bedroom. Generally, I would have access to the Executive lounge area, but due to staffing issues, they have those levels closed. I travel a ton and this is a problem everywhere, so I can not fault them for the little problems. It is really nice to see some of the same faces I have seen over the past few years. I know it is vain, but I enjoy being called by my name throughout the hotel, it is very nice. The breakfast every morning is good. I am never a breakfast person, but I enjoyed a pot of tea and a bit of food to start the day. They actually use a very good quality black tea. Being a Chicagoan, the weather still is brutal outside at home, so it was nice sitting on the terrace eating breakfast every morning. The bar here makes a very good Pisco sour, so waiting to go out to dinner at night was also very nice. The restaurant prepares great food, so the snacks were also good. I didn't eat a meal at the restaurant, except breakfast this trip, but the food is good. From the door staff, to the servers, and management, they all care about their jobs and you can tell. All said and done, everytime I come to Lima for business, I will always stay here. EDIT 9/24/2023: I have stayed at the Swissotel in San Isidro many times. It always has top notch service and is impeccably clean. Also, the restaurants on-site are on point. La Locanda has delicious food and wonderful staff. I only have one issue, and in my opinion it is big. They used to have wonderful amenities in the room. Wonderful little bottles of Shampoo/Conditioner/Lotion. Why did you go to the communal dispensers? It cheapens the property in my opinion. You have such a pretty property, the communal dispenser almost makes me want to decrease my rating by 1/2 of a star. I know it seems minor, but I do not like these, especially since the pandemic, especially since I/we don't know who puts what into what... I know you might think I am knit picking, but I am really against the communal dispensers in any property...
